Excellent! Whole family loved it and there were no leftovers. I followed the recipe exactly and added a bunch of black pepper just before serving. Will make again and again.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: May 23, 2006
I make this all the time. I omit the sliced mushrooms because my son hates them and I replace the crushed potato chips with crushed Ritz crackers. I also saute a little onion and celery and add that as well. My family loves this.

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
Whole family loved it. I was going to substitute garlic powder and then forgot to add it completely. Will add it next time and will increase the chili powder and cumin next time for more flavor. Will also reduce the amount of broth to make it thicker. Great recipe.

Insalata Caprese I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
Excellent! So simple and easy to prepare and very eye appealing. Everyone loved this, even my father, who is a real meat and potatoes type of guy. I knew he liked it when he went for seconds! I thought there was a bit too much olive/vinegar mixture, I may reduce that next time but everyone loved dipping their garlic bread it in so it was OK.

Spinach Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
This was awesome! I was so exicted to fine a manicotti recipe where you don't have to cook the noodles before hand. I used italian sausage canned sauce which added a nice flavor. It makes a lot too, it fed 5 adults and one child and we still had half of a 9x13 pan left. I bet this would freeze well too.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2007
Whole family loved it. I used frozen spinach because canned just seems yucky to me. I added fettuccini noodles on top of the spinach and mushrooms. Made it in a 9x13 pan and doubled the sauce. I accidentally added too much milk to the sauce but it was OK because the noodles soaked it up. A month or so after I made it my husband mentioned how much he had liked it so I know it's a keeper!

Spiced Applesauce Bread

We loved this recipe. I doubled the recipe and used half as much oil as was called for, substituted half whole wheat flour and added raisins and walnuts. I took a bunch to work and everyone loved them! Will make again.

Excellent and a nice change from traditional sloppy joe sandwiches. Made according to recipe except for adding about a teaspoon of ketchup and about a tablespoon of dried minced onion. Will make again soon!

White Chocolate Grapes

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
These were so good, I could have eaten them all before the guests arrived. I melted the chips and then put all of the grapes in the bowl and tossed to coat then spread them onto wax paper and sprinkled finely chopped peanuts over the top. These were a hit!

Basic Bean Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
I added a pound of ham and also a pound of bacon (fried before adding to the soup). I also used navy beans and the soup cooked really fast, it was done about an hour and a half sooner than I expected. This was sooooo good on a cold winter day. I can't wait to make it again!

Three-Cheese Jumbo Shells

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
My family really liked these, I cheated and used jarred sauce with the hamburger because I do not like the taste of tomato paste. This is basically the same as my lasagna recipe only with shells which I like because I think you get more of a pop of cheese flavor if you really stuff the shells good. I think I'd opt for this over lasagna most of the time. Thanks for the great recipe.

Spicy Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Awesome! I scaled the recipe to 1 lb of shrimp and I used shrimp that was already fully cooked then just put it in a hot skillet to heat it through. I used extra cayenne, it was REALLY spicy but me and my husband could not get enough. He and I ate 1 lb of shrimp in one sitting! This recipe made it into my favorites cookbook.
