This is an excellent recipe, has a lot of flavor. I'll probably use this recipe many times in the future.

This was good pizza dough. I added some dried, crushed herbs to give it some extra flavor. Will make again.

Beefaroni

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2006
Excellent. I made a couple adjustments. I added salt, pepper, minced onion, garlic powder and oregano to the meat as it was browning. I used 2 cans of condensed tomato soup and one 8oz can of tomato sauce. Only used 1 cup of cheddar mixed in the hotdish and it was AWESOME! Great comfort food. Will make many, many times in the future! Thanks for the recipe.

Spinach Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
This was awesome! I was so exicted to fine a manicotti recipe where you don't have to cook the noodles before hand. I used italian sausage canned sauce which added a nice flavor. It makes a lot too, it fed 5 adults and one child and we still had half of a 9x13 pan left. I bet this would freeze well too.

Insalata Caprese I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
Excellent! So simple and easy to prepare and very eye appealing. Everyone loved this, even my father, who is a real meat and potatoes type of guy. I knew he liked it when he went for seconds! I thought there was a bit too much olive/vinegar mixture, I may reduce that next time but everyone loved dipping their garlic bread it in so it was OK.

Aunt Fannie's Dinner

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2006
I changed this recipe quite drastically because as is it just seemed a little too blah. I was in the mood for chili so I added half of a green pepper, increased the tomato sauce to 2 cans and added 2 cans of stewed tomatoes. Then I added about 2 or 3 tablespoons of chili powder and a little cayenne. Used shell pasta because it’s what I had. It still seemed to be missing something so I sprinkled on some celery salt and that did the trick. Topped with shredded cheddar and everyone loved it.

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
Whole family loved it. I was going to substitute garlic powder and then forgot to add it completely. Will add it next time and will increase the chili powder and cumin next time for more flavor. Will also reduce the amount of broth to make it thicker. Great recipe.

Florida Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2006
I always substitute applesauce for the butter or oil in a recipe and use whole wheat flour instead of all purpose and these did not turn out very well. Consistency was Ok but I didn't care for all of the nutmeg in them. Hubby and daughter said they were OK but I will keep looking for a strawberry muffin recipe.

Jo Jo's Favorite Banana Muffins

Excellent recipe. Like another reviewer I replaced the margarine with applesauce and I also replaced the flour with whole wheat flour and they came out perfect. Will make again and again.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: May 23, 2006
I make this all the time. I omit the sliced mushrooms because my son hates them and I replace the crushed potato chips with crushed Ritz crackers. I also saute a little onion and celery and add that as well. My family loves this.

Baked Stuffed Tomatoes

This was 50-50 for us. My mom and myself liked them and my dad and husband did not care for them. You have to like fresh tomatoes to like this recipe. Will make again for my mom and myself :-)

My daughter and I loved this but my husband didn't. I used turkey instead of chicken. Will continue to look for a jambalaya recipe to please hubby.

Cheesy Italian Tortellini

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2005
This was OK, just tasted like canned sauce to me, I think the sauce needs to be jazzed up a bit. I don't think I'll make this again.

Quick Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2005
Very quick recipe, I made this with Chicken Enchiladas also from this site and was able to make this dish while the enchiladas baked. My husband didn't really care too much for it but our dinner guest and myself liked it. Next time I will add an extra can of beans, drained and rinsed so there's not too much liquid. I would like more beans in the dish.

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2005
This was pretty good, I think I marinated my salmon too long because the flavor was VERY strong, will reduce marinating time next time I make it.
