Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2015
this soup was great, very tasty. I added one can of chick peas to make it heartier. I served it with sour cream and fresh cilantro. Everyone wanted the recipe.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2014
This banana bread was fantastic. I did make a few adjustments. I mashed my banana, used 1/2 cup of Greek vanilla yogurt, added 1/2 tsp cinnamon and only used 2/3 cup of sugar. Very moist, tasty bread with good flavor. It cooked very evenly. I will make this again

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2013
This recipe was fantastic, the only change I made was using half the amount of salt called for. This is my new "go to " pancake mix. It is great if you don't like multigrain pancakes. Thanks for sharing your family's treasured recipe. They are truly the best homemade pancakes.

Yummy Yam Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
This recipe is simple to make and tastes fantastic, I will make this again. Everyone loved it. Thanks for sharing. I didn't have nutmeg or allspice so I used 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice and it worked great.

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
I found 25 minutes too long for baking, 22 minutes was perfect. I only used 1 3/4 cups of sugar. I used half whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup of ground flax seed, some vanilla, 50/50 non hydrogenated margarine and grapeseed oil instead of all butter and sprinkled with slivered almonds before baking, these muffins turned out fantastic. I will definitely make them again.

Butternut Squash Bisque

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
This soup was super easy to make, and it tastes great. I left out the nutmeg and it was still great. I used 1/2 cup of half & half cream at the end. I roasted my squash first as per recommendations and having done that first made this recipe very quick to make.

Fluffy White Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
This recipe is super easy to make, I let the sugar water simmer on low for about 4 minutes to make sure the sugar had dissolved and then transferred the water to a glass measuring cup to make it easier to pour into the beaten egg whites. You have to spread this on your cake promptly as it starts to set quickly and I think if you wait too long it will be difficult to work with. Fluffy, shiny, not too sweet and looks wonderful. I will make this again. I put it on a vanilla cake but think it would be better on a chocolate cake.

Lime Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
This chicken was really good and tender. Not dry at all. I have a 2 year old so I only used 4 cloves of garlic and I think it was just right for us. I used 1/2 butter and 1/2 non-hydrogenated margarine. (just because butter burns so easily) I will make this again.

Lower Fat Banana Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
I used Becel (non-hydrogenated margarine) and added a little vanilla and a little cinnamon. The bread turns out so moist. I like the fact there is so little sugar and the baking time is exact. I have given this recipe to friends and they love it too. Delicious!

Dad's BBQ Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2006
I added 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and one tablespoon of water to the mixture. I used 3 different mustards instead on just one. I only used 3/4cup of mustard and I also seared my roast on a hot BBQ prior to coating and wrapping. We thought it was really good, the sauce turned out the perfect consistency. I will make this again. I have frozen the leftovers with the sauce and they were excellent later on too.

Aunt Shirley's Dietetic Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2005
This recipe turned out really good. I have an insulin dependent diabetic family member and he was the only one informed that it was sugar free so he could have a piece of the pie.He didn't feel left out at dessert. Everyone raved about how good it was.
