A waste of 1/2 lb. butter. Rushing to make Christmas cookies, I couldn't find my old Snickerdoodle recipe so used this one, and my entire two trays of cookies came out as two giant, flat cookies. This recipe fails to remind the baker to CHILL THE DOUGH before baking. I should've known better, but just followed the directions and wasted an hour of my life and all the ingredients. I've checked other recipes on the 'net, and so far, they tell the user to CHILL the dough first. Careless directions, but I'll give myself a smack on the forehead too, for not noticing the missing instruction. Of course, this didn't stop my husband an me from eating the giant cookies over the next couple of days, just tearing off strips of cookie, so it's not a 100% failure. Just nothing I can include in gift boxes for Christmas.
