I substituted Andes mints for the peanuts and melted some into the chocolate too. Yum!

These were a nice substitute for a trip to the donut store and I look forward to experimenting with flavors.

Glazed Lemon Supreme Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
Mine came out a little dry but my oven is wonky so who know. I made a second batch of the glaze and put it on the top/outside too for some super duper lemony-goodness.

Easy and yummy. I used all the adjustments that were suggested and next time I will cut down to just the four yolks.

Toffee I

Mine didn't come out right - but I think I maybe didn't cook it long enough.

I did put a splash of vanilla in with the wet ingredients but other than that I followed the recipe. Yum!

Chocolate Caramel Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
Yum! I used semi-sweet chocolate chips and I can't imagine how sweet they would be if I had used milk chocolate. If you are generally a dark chocolate fan I would recommend sticking with semi. The only bad thing about these is the time it takes to unwrap the caramels! I will have to put up a picture soon!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2006
I was nervous when I was getting ready to put the dry ingredients in - it didn't look like it was going to be thick enough - but the whole thing turned out great! It bakes up very dark on the outside which worried me, but turned out not to be a problem. I put a dash of cinnamon and some vanilla as suggested, and some of the Hershey's cinnamon chips instead of nuts - mmmmm. (PS - those are way hard to find - did they stop making them?)

Sweet Potato Gnocchi

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
Really good - a heck of a lot of work. I think I used too much sweet potato because I found the dough to be really sticky and hard to work with. BUT a ncie change of pace from regular pasta and VERY filling.

Cookie Press Shortbread

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2005
This was yummy! Don't expect a sugar cookie though - this is definately a shortbread. I found my cookies were too thin with the cookie press. This would be yummy baked as bars of shortbread though!

Kinda a weird after taste - maybe it's the pudding? I don't know, but they were very soft.

Easy Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2005
This makes a HUGE amount of sauce - enuogh to toss with a whole 16 oz box of pasta and then some. Next time I will split it into two or three servings and freeze the rest because it took awhile to make. Definately not a quick work night dinner - better for a weekend dinner with wine and crusty italian bread.

All Day Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2005
I'm looking for a really creamy sauce macaroni and cheese but that doesn't taste like the bright orange stuff - a more complex taste. This wasn't it, but macaroni and cheese is always good :-) If someone has another recipe suggestion - let me know!

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2005
Addictive! I have eaten 4 in 4 hours! One thing I did with the last batch that was helpful, was to spray the paper liners with a little nonstick spray so that they would not stick so much and come out more whole.

Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2005
Yum!!! Don't let them sit around too long though - the dry out. I found that for "next day" eating they were best popped in the microwave for 30 secs.
