awesome recipe, although i didn't have enough white sugar and no molasses at all... I substituted the molasses with maple syrup(not real maple syrup) and I used the same amount of brown sugar. the dough was a bit like batter so i added 1/4 a cup of brown sugar(additional to original amount) and about 1/2 a cup more flour until it turned into dough!! they look, smell and taste great but for the flavor of the molasses there really is no substitute. the end result for me was a soft crunchy treat with just a hint of those ginger bread seasonings.
