About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
OOOooo, that's easy. Cookies!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's macaroni and cheese...Yum!
My cooking triumphs
Finding this website has been an IMMENSE triumph! From big, fat chocolate chip cookies to the basic shortbread cookies, to easy corflake crispy chicken strips. Who knew I could cook edible food that others enjoy? It certainly didn't come naturally, but with the help of the recipes I've found here, I'm even brave enough to 'tweak' recipes I've grown accustomed to. It feels good to know I can feed people good food! :o)
My cooking tragedies
I've lost count of how many recipes I've either burnt or undercooked, but in the end it's mostly trial and error. Don't give up, trust me, the results will eventually be mouthwatering!

Busy Day Chicken
This was a really simple recipe and it's nice that you can experiment with different BBQ sauces (I also added a bit of chicken broth to keep things moist.) I cooked a whole chicken the first time and eventhough it was delicious, I didn't much enjoy having to take the meat off the bone, soo-o-o I think next time I'll do as many others suggested and cook just the chicken breasts instead. Very yummy and makes great sandwiches the next day!

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars
Wow, what a yummy & easy treat! I actually had all the ingredients on-hand (which NEVER happens!) I added cinnamon as other reviewers suggested and used rasberry 'Double fruit Reduced sugar' jam. I even added some chocolate chips on half of the pan of to see what it would taste like. Both sides were delicious!! Plan on making more today with blueberry jam. I would like to make this recipe even MORE healthy, but am not good at straying from the recipe. I fear disaster without exact mesurements!

Tuna Patties
Oh wow, these are yummy! I did as other people suggested and added two cans of tuna instead of one. Very quick and easy! I've also decided to test its freezing capabilities by freezing two uncooked patties and two cooked patties. I'll let you know how everything turns out! **EDIT: I froze both cooked and uncooked patties and they both froze very well. I prefer freezing them cooked 'cause I just popped 'em in the microwave and they were ready to go when I was pressed for time!
