Creamy Chicken Lasagna

This is really good and really easy...However, it definitely needs some seasonings! Maybe mix in some traditional italian seasoning with the chicken, cream cheese and 1 C. mozzarella. I used a 9 inch square baking dish and it was the perfect size. I will try another reviewers suggestion of adding a layer of spinach next time as well.

Easy Spicy Chicken and Rice

Good idea, but the flavor was pretty blah...even with the rotel. The chicken was visually unappealing as well, so if I make it again, I will definately brown the chicken so it doesn't look so pale when I serve it. It needs a little something more...adding some veggies might do the trick.

Cranberry Sauce

I make this every year for holiday meals...I like my cranberries tart and this fits the bill! However, I do end up adding about 1/2 C. more sugar to suit the rest of my family....

Banana Bran Muffins

After many failed attempts making a banana bread that is done in the middle but not burnt on the outside, I decided to make these muffins. They are fabulous! All the banana bread flavor without the long baking time and gooey middle. They freeze great for a quick weekday breakfast! I'll never make banana bread again...

Wild Rice Spaghetti Chicken

we just didn't like this...it was so brothy and didn't have much flavor. i love the idea of wild rice and spaghetti together, but it needs to be creamy for our taste. also, i used actual wild rice, not from a mix. that was a long cooking process and i think using the wild rice mix (like uncle bens) would have been easier and yielded a much better overall flavor--might have helped with that brothy issue.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

This was soooo good! Instead of the water, I used a can of cream of chicken soup. It had the perfect consistency. I also added a can of rinsed black beans during the last half hour of cooking time. I added Tapatio hot sauce to my serving to make it a bit spicier. I used regular tortilla chips since I was short on time, but I will make my own tortilla strips next time. I'll definately be making this often this winter. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

No Sour Cream Beef Stroganoff

It tasted like hamburger helper--that's fine at least I know what's in it! But it was so visually unappetizing that I could not finish eating it. Really pale, white and grayish. I don't know how the above photo looks so good--maybe they left out the flour?

Alienated Blueberry Muffins

I had a bunch of blueberries to use up so I tried this recipe based on reviews. I can't figure out what happened, but mine are flat as a pancake and sunken in the middle. And I used new baking powder. Despite flouring the berries, they are all stuck at the bottom. They taste fine--not fabulous--but definately not presentable to anyone besides my family.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Wow this is awesome! I used baby applesauce (finer texture) for half of the oil. I think next time I'll only use mini loaf pans because I can't seem to get the timing right on a regular loaf pan...either too done or not done enough. The mini ones come out perfect. A lot of sweet breads end up being too oily for me and this is just perfect, moist but not greasy feeling.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

I got several request for this recipe when I brought it to our MOPS meeting! I used 8 eggs, and added 1/2 tsp. black pepper and chopped green pepper. Yum! I think the toasted bread makes all the difference. This is the only breakfast casserole I will ever make! Thanks for sharing!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Awesome!! A bit too spicy as I used the entire seasonings on only 2 chicken breasts...but having that much seasoning made for a great "crust". I will cut the salt and cayenne next time, though. I agree that there needs to be more sauce...I had none to spoon over when ready to serve...the lime juice adds such a flavor kick! I used olive oil only when sauting and didn't miss the butter at all. I will definately be making this again and again...I'm going to try this for chicken fajitas--use the seasoning mix on the veggies, too then drizzle some extra lime juice over the veggies before serving. Yum!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Awesome cookies! And I have a hard time finding cookies I like. If you use butter flavor crisco instead of butter or margarine, you won't have that spreading problem. The cookies stay in a uniform shape and are still chewy. I made the following changes based on other reviews: 1 1/2 C. flour, 1 t. baking soda, 3/4 t. salt. I added about 1/2 cup more oats (I used the old fashioned kind), 3/4 c. chocolate chips, 1/2 c. rice crispies, and 1/4 C. coconut--my family loves coconut and omitted the nuts because I didn't have any...I would try pecans instead of walnuts because I think walnuts have a funny taste sometimes. I will definately make these over and over!

Tamra's Lemon Artichoke Pesto

This is awesome pesto! I'm not a huge garlic fan, so I cut the garlic down to one large clove and it still had a nice garlic flavor. I also added cooked, shredded chicken breast. Yum!! Thanks for the recipe!

Angel Hair Pasta Chicken

I was very disappointed because I was looking foward to serving a more healthy pasta dish...This had absolutely NO FLAVOR at all. Plus, there was way too much angel hair pasta for the amount of veggies and sauce, though I wouldn't call it a sauce...

Mary's Pecan Crusted Chicken

The chicken came out very moist, but we thought the cinnamon flavor was a bit much for a main dish, plus it just needed some zing with all that cinnamon. I think it would be much better in a salad instead.

Steak and Spinach Salad

this was good and i added the gorgonzola and ken's raspberry dressing from other reviews...i would not use that dressing again-way overpowering. i will use a lemon balsamic vinagrette next time and candied pecans (personal preference). my husband really liked this and he was quite skeptical of a steak salad.

Wild Rice and Asparagus Chicken Breasts

My husband and I love this quick yummy meal! I boil my chicken breast and shred, then add to the asparagus and sauce mix and serve over whatever rice I have on hand. You can't beat how fast this comes together! I've made it with frozen sugar snap peas too and it's just as good.
