Homemade Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2014
These turned out so good! I got 13 regular sized buns that I used for pulled pork sandwiches. I cute the initial rise to 1 hour (doubled in size in 1 hour) and let the buns rise for 45 minutes. I made these changes based on my first batch, I got 8 GIGANTIC buns. They tasted just fine and are now be sliced and used like slices from a loaf of bread.

Best Burger Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2012
These turned out pretty dry. Had to cop them up for the kids and serve it to them like meatloaf otherwise they wouldn't eat them. They were also surprisingly bland. If I make these again I will cut down on the oats and add pickle relish like another reviewer stated.

Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
Ok, I followed the recipe exactly *except* I used dried parsley instead of fresh b/c I didn't have fresh. I turned out absolutely wonderful!! I'm SO excited! The dumplings are much more like biscuits then dumplings, but still fabulous! I might try reducing the milk, next time, to get a more dense "dumpling" texture. I will probably trade off between that and the biscuit style dumplings. Very satisfied. Thanks!

Tomato Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
This recipe could be a 5* but it's WAY TOO SWEET, (IMO)! I had to add a lot of salt to make it edible. I will definitely make this again but omit the sugar altogether.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
This pie was so good!! A very rich carmel-y taste with the apples. The top crust was nice and flakey even with the sauce poured over it. I'm so glad I tried this pie!

We weren't very impressed with these. They are not terrible, but definitely missing something. When I mentioned that to my husband he said "Yeah - they're missing the eggs"

Ranger Cookies I

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
This cookie turned out very well. A sturdy cookie that was still a little chewy. Ranger cookies are not my favorite - I made these for my husband and he said they were great. He took some to BNO and they went fast.

Wow!! These are great! I ran out of vanilla extract so I used almond - oh so good!! I left my walnuts in bigger chunks because I like to have a little crundh to my cookies. Perfect!!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
This was very simple and pretty good. I left out the hot sauce b/c my husband and kids are not big on heat, but I bet it would have been very good with a little heat! Mine ended up needing another pinch or so of brown sugar and it came out a little on the watery side so I mixed 1 tsp of cornstarch with a little cold water and mixed that in - that did the trick. All in all a good meal to serve in very little time.

Cookies 'n' Creme Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
This is so unbelieveablly good! I threw it together in about 10 to 15 minutes! I used 2 bags of white chocolate chips. I broke the cookies by hand, broke them into fourths. It turned out perfect! I love the cookies n' cream candy bar by Hershey's and this tastes exactly like it!!

Terri's Marinaded Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
Hi - I'm the submitter of this recipe. I got it from my MIL. It has been a favorite of their family since her boys were young. You can throw all the marinade in with the wings and get suculent, fall-off-the-bone, tender wings. Or you can only add a little of the marinade and you will get sticky, fall-off-the-bone, tender wings.
