Chinese Barbequed Spareribs

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
These ribs were EXCELLENT. Exactly, if not better than take out. Followed recipe ingredients, used a bit more since I had larger ribs. I also cut my ribs in half to make them more like appetizers. I took the advice of others. Marinated overnight in a zip-lock bag. Slow boiled the extra marinade (on low) before basting. I turned the ribs a few extra times than suggested and cooked a bit longer. Turned out delicious and just as good reheated the next day. I also prepared a batch and put them in the freezer with the marinade. Defrosted and baked another time, and they turned out perfect. What a time saver to have them on hand. Thanks so much for this recipe.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2006
Made this for Easter Sunday, and it was FANTASTIC. It was rich and creamy, with the perfect "diner" cheesecake texture. Better than the famous cheesecake store in Brooklyn. Never bothered to make a topping for it, was delicious plain. I followed the others and used 2 tbl. flour, baked it in a 10" springform pan (9" would be too small) and had a 9x13 pan with boiling water on the bottom rack. Not one crack!! I kept it in the oven for 3-1/2 hours and chilled it overnight. My Dad and Husband both agreed, I can now throw out all of my other cheesecake recipes. Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful recipe with me.

Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
This turned out perfect. No cracks and very pretty presentation. Everyone thought it was too sweet, maybe I slipped on the sugar. I put the water pan on the bottom rack as others suggested and it worked great. I used cinnamon sugar graham crackers (crushed) for the crust.

Chicken Breast Mediterranean

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
This recipe was ok. It was a bit bland, even though I added chopped sun dried tomatoes and kalamata olives. It was good, but I wouldn't make again.

I have made this recipe for years, and the compliments are always raves. Made it again this weekend, and everyone had seconds, so I decided to finally give it my review. It is soooo easy to make and it never fails, perfect every time. Thank you

Creamy Butternut Squash With Cinnamon Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2005
FANTASTIC...This soup was so tasty and creamy. I only used 1 cup of half and half and no cayenne pepper or apple chips. Very easy since I had all the ingredients in the house. I cooked each step a little longer than it says. It has such a wonderful flavor and the color is so perfect for fall. Made my Thursday night dinner seem like we were in a fancy restaurant. Will make for Thanksgiving. Hubby loved it. Thanks alot.

Ricotta Cookies III

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2005
These cookies are the BEST!! They taste like light cakes. I froze a few to see how they hold up, the taste and texture was perfect after defrosting. I used a teaspoon, so got much more than it states. Good thing, they didn't last. Much better than any Italian bakery in Brooklyn. The only thing I did different was the icing. I used confectioner's sugar, lemon juice and water to a frosting consistancy. Perfect. Thanks alot.

Lance's French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2005
This soup was the best ever. My husband has asked me to make it four more times since I've first tried it. Its VERY easy. I added the wine to the onions as they were sauteing, it seemed to add more flavor. I used mozzarella cheese. My parents loved it also. Better than any restaurant. Thanks for such a great recipe.

French Onion Soup V

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
This soup turned out so delicious, my husband made the most satisfied sounds as he ate it! I made it for 4 servings and it was enough for 2 large crocks and one leftover for another time. Used mozzarella instead and added the wine as I sauted the onions so it cooked with all the other flavors. It was better than any restaurant.

Three Bean Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2005
This was the absolutly best tasting 3 bean salad. It's better than any salad bar could have. I added garbanzo and great northern to make it a five bean salad. The marinade was perfect. I used canned wax beans. You have to let it sit for about 2 days for everything to marinate. Fantastic!!

Glazed Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2004
Tried this recipe and it's GREAT. The few changes I made were - boiled the corned beef for a few hours before baking it (30 minutes) with the glaze & broiled it the last ten minutes. I used sugar free jam and sweet & low brown sugar and it was still wonderful. Very little leftovers and they were gone the next day, Much better than plain boiled. Thanks alot for a new idea.
