Tiropita

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2014
AUTHENTIC! This is a AUTHENTIC recipe..many are not.. you can also use ALL FETA with the same other ingredients ..the Kefalori cheese is Not easy to find but using all feta is also traditional tiropita. Adding spinach as some did is spanakopita and that is a different item altogether! This is supposed to be ALL CHEESE! Thank you for sharing a traditional recipe ! Its great

Our Favorite Balsamic Vinaigrette

Reviewed: May 17, 2014
Great recipe and a favorite in my home.. salad everynight and most requested dressing. That said I did add more flavor by only increasing the flavor ingredients. .Honey, dijon mustard , garlic , shallots and I use McCormick's great "Mediterranean Seasoning" in and on the actual salad..its great on MANY THINGS! This dressing is also a really good marinade for chicken overnight and then grilled ! Try it !! Thank you for the recipe! !!

Beef, Mushroom and Guinness® Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2014
I used this recipe for a "steak pie" with puff pastry but for anyone who doesn't like the stoutnes/bitter flavor of beer or especially Guinness beer which most beer drinkers LOVE ( I didn't use it because I dont like beer..too bitter) but I DID use the exact same with Red wine instead! I only changed beer to wine and didnt have mushrooms but added some baby potatoes cut small. GREAT RESULTS! needed extra s&p for us but only adjusted to taste and IT TURNED OUT GREAT! You can actually use filling w/small amount of gravy into iindividual puff pastry enclosed pies! Like "jamacian paties" it is GREAT to do several things with this filling! Thank you for the post!

Mid-Eastern Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2014
This was a really nice change for chicken. I read other reviews and agree that the only things needed would be a thicker sauce and salt! Very tasty and easy as well as easy to adjust if you wanted low fat low calorie dish. I prefer to have some fat in my dish as it really makes all the difference in flavors. I added salt and butter as well butgot a thicker sauce by adding corn startch to chicken broth before adding it into the pan with wine and red wine vinigar..I tbink it helped but could have added a little more. I was heavy on the rub to both sides of the chicken meat then lightly floured the thighs on both sides before dropping them in the oil! Was great will make again.TY!

Pumpkin Cookie Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2013
I have been making this fall and holidays for years...EVERYONE LOVES IT.. its great with fruit and graham crackers to dip in it as well! I call it "pumpkin fluff" but you can also dip it in the big round rice cakes that the machine in whole foods puffs out! Break those up and serve with this dip and hot cider and it will be a requested item always!!

Chicken Pot Pie VIII

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2013
This is pretty much the way I make my chicken pot pie too..just one short cut for working or busy mioms..use the meat from a rotissarie chicken dark & white and its REALLY GOOD AND FAST! Using a roux is ALWAYS BETTER THEN A CAN OF SOUP AND IT DOES NOT TAKE LONG! Great recipe thank u for sharing it!
