Chicken Tinga Tostados

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
Fantastic sauce recipe! I decided to roast the tomatoes, tossed in olive oil, at 450 for 30 minutes then added cilantro, sugar and cinnamon to the sauce as others suggested. It was a delicious blend of spicy and sweet and I look forward to trying this out at a party. Guests will go crazy for it. Topped off the tostado with refried beans, then sour cream before adding the chicken. A sprinkle of shredded lettuce and avocado on the side makes this a great meal. Thank you to the chef for sharing!

Fusion Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2013
Best chili recipe I've ever made! Combo of sweet and spicy was perfect. I couldn't find the dried chiles in the grocery store so I carefully added chopped serrano peppers (high on the heat side). Caution though, this makes a boat load of chili as published so unless you're having a huge party or want to freeze some adjust the portions. Great recipe - applause for the chef!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2013
When I saw this recipe it made me nostalgic so I prepared this for Thanksgiving instead of the usual candied sweet potatoes. Very nice, balanced dish that I didn't feel was too sweet. I did holiday-spice it up with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. I baked it a bit longer - about 45 minutes - and then turned the broiler on low for just a couple of minutes, gently caramelizing the pecans. Wow, it was a hit!

Grandmas Bogie's Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2013
I keep going back to this recipe and have made it many, many times. I like to use thin-sliced chicken breasts; gives a better crunch factor when it's thin. Thank you for sharing a family treasure!

Fluffy French Toast

Fluffy indeed; a simply perfect French Toast recipe. I've used this batter with egg breads as well as just a baguette and it always comes out delicious. Perfect Sunday treat!
