About this Cook
I'm a wife of the most wonderful man that God could have ever created for ME. A mother of 2 beautiful daughters and one handsome son and I enjoy sharing my thoughts, ideas, and time with others.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake cakes. I also love making my simple BBQ Meatballs recipe. Will definitely have to share!!! Enjoy cooking grilled chicken breasts as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pineapple upside down cake and any kind of cake I can think of. My Granny's Red Velvet Cake.
My cooking triumphs
My cheesecake, and key lime cake are a hit! Then there's the Blue's Clues cake w/ paw prints. I Baked one for my daughter, then several people at the party wanted me to bake a 3-d cake for them. Blue, Taz, Tweety... And I don't use molds, I create my own templates to make the cake look like I like it. Even made a baby rattle once!
My cooking tragedies
I am a lover of pound cakes and have finally become able to master them.

Quick Quiche
Now that was awesome!!! We made triple the recipe so that we could freeze some for later. I did make some adjustments though... I didn't use bacon, I used 2 lbs of pork sausage and about 1/2 cup of finely diced mushrooms. I also added a little bit of garlic powder, and for the entire mix I used 2 tbsp of butter due to the suggestions of other reviewers. Also, I used 2 parts pancake mix and 1 part flour (1 cup pancake mix and 1/2 cup flour) One other touch I added was syrup. In 2 of the 6-- 8" pans that we used, I added syrup over the cooked sausage/cheese mix. This was an awesome awesome awesome recipe as I only expected to get rid of 2 pans tonight but we ended up eating all 3. The kids ate more slices than me!!! Definitely a keeper!!!

Strawberry Cake from Scratch
Very nice recipe, but I did as others suggested and separated the eggs and whipped the yolks and folded them in at the end... Be sure to measure your flour after you sift it or you will be sorry... I also used fresh strawberries and made my own puree... I used my own strawberry cream cheese frosting with just a hint of pureed strawberries... This cake received rave reviews 2 strawberry cake lovers... its a keeper (with the modifications of course)

Creamy Chocolate Frosting
This was a great recipe. Held up well for a groom's cake that I made. Had to triple it for a two tier groom's cake (tier sizes 9 inches and 12 inches x 3 inches high for each tier) Only gave 4 stars because for me it was a tad too sweet so I added a dash of salt ( small small dash) but it held up well even in 100+ degree weather... it started to slightly melt but not like a candy bar, more frosting is expected to melt in that type of heat. Thanks ! I will most def use again... Oh and do use all of the sugar required, it wasn't thick and fluffy until I did...
