Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Pan Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2004
These bars were just okay to me...nothing special. Our guests liked them - I served them warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Probably will try another bar cookie recipe next time.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2004
Made this the other day as a side to a steak dinner. Unfortunately, I used a George Forman grill - which is probably why they came out just okay. I liked the basil flavor!!

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2004
This recipe was as easy as its title. I really enjoyed dumping my frozen chicken breast and dressing (used Newmen's Own Cesear Dressing b/c that's what I had) and leaving for a few hours. I added Carne Asada seasoning instead of the suggested ones b/c we were going to have it with low carb tortillas. It reminded me of a chicken sloppy joe. I think I'll experiment with this one again.

Lemon Barbeque Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2004
Tried this for dinner tonight... chose this recipe because I had forgotten to marinate the pork chops. I always use the pc from Costco which are very thick and this time I did not butterfly them. I rated this recipe a one mostly because the barbeque and lemon didn't saturate the meat enough. I added green onions for the last few minutes, but even they didn't add enough flavor to make me want a repeat of this dinner.

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Missing something. I am a very big PB and chocolate fan, but I missed the traditional cookie taste. We still ate a few, they were very rich.

Broccoli Quiche with Mashed Potato Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2004
This was okay. I was looking for a recipe shell, but wasn't impressed with the crust. If I made this again, I would cook crust longer or use uncooked potato rounds.

My pork chop were thicker so it took a little longer to cook - loved the peach sauce over the wild rice. YUMMY

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: May 12, 2004
First time making salsa and it was great! Not too spicey, so I added three serrano chilies, next time I'll add five. The salsa was sweet, so I added about two tablespoons of vinegar as suggested by another user. It took no time at all - I'll definitely make again!!

Chocolate Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2004
Very good! Used 5 bananas and didn't add the suggested brown sugar. It was fabulous!! I wish I would have followed the advice to add one egg at a time and blend well because the batter looked lumpy, but it turned out great! I'll definitely make this again!

Crunchy Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
Used Costco brownie mix, added more PB as suggested, but it was still missing something. I would add more cream cheese next time and a cup of PB. I've had better.
