Maple Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
Not sure what to say about these. I made them as directed. I taste baking soda. I rolled them in mixed maple sugar/cane sugar. Zero maple flavor. I will do a drizzle of maple syrup glaze to see if that helps.

Super Easy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2008
Pretty good..Easy to do..definately a cake doughnut. My kids loved them. My oldest son (16yrs) wanted them, found the recipe, we made it together, he did the cuting out. (took the inside of my 1920's aluminum doughnut cutter and made them. He did the rolling in the sugars too. Happy boys!

Banana Snack Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
I halved the recipe, omitted the nuts and coconut. Added in just a few tablespoons more of the oats. Baked in an 11x7 pan. I didn't eat it. But my husband said it was good. Looks really moist, although he would prefer less chocolate chips next time, unless they were milk chocolate. lol

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
This was pretty good. I added a bit of garlic powder and black pepper. Cubed up Jarlsburg cheese. Split into to loaves and baked side by side in 9x13. One I glazed with a bit of homemade leftover BBQ. Yummy...

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2006
I made these in a bar pan. I used milk chocolate chips and half the salt, since I used salted butter. My 8 yr old ate more than anyone!

Cabbage on the Grill

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2004
This was good. I sprinkled the cabbage with fresh cracked pepper and a little kosher salt. Added pats of butter to the wedges, spooned just a touch of bacon grease over them, and maybe 2 T of water. It was SOOOOooo close to my "fried cabbage".

Blueberry Coffee Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2004
I subbed buttermilk for the milk. 3/4c (The cake part is soooooooo moist and yummy. I think I'll use it as a base for many things! I baked it in a 9" square. Put about 2/3 of the batter down. Then 1 1/2 c of fresh blueberries, then half the streusel, then the rest of the batter and may a 1/4 of the streusel. (The last 1/4 I popped into the freezer for using on something else later.)After it came out, I drizzled it with a milk, powdered sugar and Almond Extract glaze. It was a hit!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2002
This is an amazing biscuit. I've made it a ton of times, and even shared the recipe half a dozen times. I'll have to try it "sweetened" up a bit more for desserts! Fabulous recipe! Works everytime!

Huge hit at my house. Made them and shared with the teenage lifeguards at the pool my son takes lessons at. Served them with honey butter. They LOVED them too.
