Smirnoff No. 21 and Champagne Sparkle

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
I didn't like the flavor of this punch. I thought it didn't taste very fruity because there was too much champagne in it and not enough pomegranate juice.

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
excellent! I divided the 4 cups of flour into 2 cups whole wheat flour and 2 cups white flour and they turned out delicious!

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
This is a very good, moist bread. I was surprised that it turned out so well because as it was kneading I noticed that it was wet and sticky, but the bread still turned out very soft, moist and delicious! I'll definitely make this bread again and experiment with different nuts and seeds.

Potato, Broccoli and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
Wow, this is a really good soup! It's simple, takes only a little time to prepare and tastes great! I added garlic, used less onion and used sharp cheddar cheese. My only complaint was that it was too watery. I would suggest that some flour be added to thicken it up.

Rhubarb Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
A delicious light and fluffy cake. I like it because it's not super sweet, but the topping gives it a light sweetness. The topping should be made with cold butter to make it crumbly though, but that's the only thing that I would change.

Chicken Curry III

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
This recipe was really bland, and I even added cinnamon and coriander. I blame it on my store bought curry powder, but I felt that I was just adding lots of spice and not getting any flavor. I'll just need to keep working this one out, but I think that this recipe makes a nice base to start from. I also added leeks and cauliflower to mine.

Apple Oatmeal Cookies II

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
I followed the advice of some other reviews and added 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, shredded the apple, and used 1/4 cup honey and 1/4 cup agave syrup for the sweetner. The taste came out great, I loved that, but the cookies themselves came out flat as pancakes and so soft that they fell apart. I turned down the oven to 325F and it made them rise a little but they were still pretty flat. They were spongy and soft, so I would make them again as muffins.

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
I love this recipe because it turns out delicious every time. The falafel is very flavorful. I only change the yogurt sauce to have chopped mint instead of dill, a clove of garlic, and no mayo.

Zucchini Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
These turned out bland and dry. I feel like they needed more flavor and sweetness. I wouldn't make them again.

Honey-Oat Pan Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
These rolls came out great. They were really easy to make. I used whole wheat flour to get it to the dough consistency rather than all purpose flour. I made 24 and they turned out very small so I think that next time I would make 12 larger rolls.

Whole Wheat Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
This bread came out moist and tasty. I put in 1 tsp cinnamon and after eating it I think that it needs some nutmeg or other spice. It's a little bland with a light banana flavor and a light sweetness from the honey and vanilla. Overall, it's good and I like that it's a healthier alternative.

Molasses Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
I used light molasses and the taste was still overpowering. If you don't like molasses don't make this bread. The good side is that it came out moist. It would have been a good tasty bread if I liked molasses.

Banana Walnut Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
This bread has a good, not too sweet flavor, but is heavy and dry. I'm not a big banana person but I do like the light banana flavor of this bread.

Sand Art Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
The flavor is good- nice and chocolatey and the chips make it really tasty too. But I agree, waaaay to much oil. I would suggest using only 2 eggs and 1/2 cup oil. they turn out moist and delicious! The best I've ever tasted! *****

Cookie Mix in a Jar VIII

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
I was planning on making this for gifts and baked them first to see how they tasted. I'm glad I did because the cookies didn't rise at all. They all spread out and didn't rise. The taste is really yummy though.

Blackberry Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2005
I love blackberry pie but I've had better than this. The filling was really good but brushing milk on the crust made it soggy. It ruined a crust that needs no help in being delicious.

Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2005
I love this recipe! It makes great comfort food! However, I like to use Campbell's "chicken with herbs" soup instead of the cream of chicken and cream of celery.

Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2005
Very easy since you just put the ingredients in the cooker and wait. I prefer fresh mushrooms over canned and altered the onions to taste, but otherwise I followed the directions. It turns out wonderful but doesn't really hold up well as leftovers.
