It's another beautiful morning in Nebraska!

Hard to believe it is July! The temperature is 55 degrees right now. Well we finished up our summer book reading program yesterday and it was a success. We averaged around 80 kids. Of course, I started out with a sore throat and then after reading books I could tell my tonsils were starting to act up. They do this once or twice a year. And today I am going to have to go to the doctor because I can hardly swallow! Yeah!
Tonight we are having leftover bbq from sunday's party. I hope I am feeling better by then so I can enjoy it, cause the only thing now that tastes good is hot coffee.
I have been picking lots of peppers and zucchini's from the garden now. The tomatoes you can tell would prefer some nice hot weather. But they are coming along nicely as well. I grew serrano peppers and some bells and some cayenne. I can't wait to make up some homemade salsa! If any you need a good recipe for peach salsa, they have the best on this site. It's even better than Harry and David's peach salsa. I make up a huge batch every year. It is so good to have in the winter when you crave a little warm weather!
