As others have already expressed......the dough did take me by surprise, very gooey and sticky. Nevertheless the outcome was pretty darn awesome!!! My entire family LOVED them. I didn't have shortening so I used vegetable oil, and I brushed butter on top before baking, all other ingredients were used just as recipe calls for. And yes! They were still wonderful......light, fluffy and golden brown. However, I was a bit rushed therefore my rise time was maybe 30min each time. I must admit I often work with yeast/dough but this recipe was by far the most easiest with the best results. This recipe is indeed a KEEPER!! I must do these again......Hmmmmm looks like this yeast rolls recipe just made it to my Christmas menu ;-) Yummmmy!!!
