Bake Sale results

Thanks for all your responses. There were great ideas. I really wanted to use the cookie pops but I couldn't find those sticks for sale. We live in Japan and they don't do much baking or "sweets" making. It might be a little complicated for my cooking skills too. We had oodles of chocolate chip cookies, which all sold out. And sweet breads that looked so yummy. So, maybe it was good to add something different to the mix.

I went with Chocolate Scotcheroos, Ranch Oyster Crackers, Sand Art Brownies in a jar. We sold everything but I don't think the crackers did that well. The Scotcheroos went fast and we were able to price them a little higher. Which is important since this was replacing popcorn sales here. The Sand Art Brownies had the best response when I came back towards the end of the sale, I had many people requesting the recipe and loving the idea. I wonder if the time of year has anything to do with it? Since it is gift giving time, people were thinking of treats they might be able to give away. And maybe not? Maybe people just want to not have to mess up the kitchen and still have homemade cookies. Some days that is what I want.

Just thought I would up date the results. Thanks!

About Me
I am a military wife and mother of three young children. We are originally from the Midwest. My husband is a US Marine and are stationed in San Diego. I love the variety of fresh fruits and vegetables available year round. My husband and I love to experiment with new recipes. I like to cook and bake. I don't have too much extra time to get away from my tried and true recipes.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make soup. It's my favorite thing to eat. But it's more work than I usually have time for. I like to make cookies too. But that causes an issue for me when I have them in the house!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My wonderful great grandmother was a wonderful cook. She made the best homemade chicken and noodles. It's something I've never learned to do. My best memory is keeping her company in the kitchen. Shared meals is a big part of our family traditions.
My cooking tragedies
I decided to make a Turtle cheesecake for our big family Christmas dinner. I didn't allow myself enough time and it was a big warm goopy mess. I don't know if anyone ate it. It was a tragedy that the thing went to waste because of my poor planning.
