Gramma Brown's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
And I give reviews 5 stars!!! So the changes in the reviews are absolutely right, sub cream or half and half for milk and never soak bacon for 45 minutes, you'll regret it. Personally, I leave the bacon out all together and fry the onion and a red pepper in olive oil. I probably add to many carrots too, but they are good for you :) Great start, just make it your own.

Lemon Blueberry Drop Scones

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
The only problem I have with this recipe is the name...It should be Lemon Blueberry muffin tops. That said we make these at least once a month! :)

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
Great foundation! We added peppers-green, red, yellow- and a red onion, next time we'll add more garlic, too. We made extras b/c we had family coming in from out of town but not getting in until late. They ate the leftovers and thought we'd gone out to dinner without them :)

Chicken, Garlic, and Sundried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
Delicious! I'm not a sundried tomato person and the kids weren't interested in them either so next time I'll sub mushrooms for the tomatoes but it'll definitely be a reg at our house!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
I have made lots of pulled pork sandwiches...I don't know what it is about this recipe or why heating the pork and bbq sauce in the oven works so well but this is my new recipe(no one tell my family it is this easy, they thought I worked all day on it)!!

Sweet and Sour Smoked Sausage

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
Great Recipe! Thanks! I did add extra sauce per the other reviews and instead of cutting peppers and onions I picked up a bag of pepper stirfry. It worked perfectly and no fussing with cutting :) This will be a new staple at my house!

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
OMG...these cookies should be illegal! They are just that addictive. It's a great recipe and it doesn't make the house hotter. I will definitely add these to my christmas cookies list, they're so fast to make I can make them while baking something else.

Baked Ziti III

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
I make this recipe over and over again. And all my friends make it too(they've passed it along as well). I do use the Sargento's mix of provolone and mozzerella for ease. The one major change I made was I split it into a 9x13 and a 8x8 pan. If we have company I bake both otherwise one goes into the freezer for a quick dinner another night. Great Recipe.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
This is one of our favorite meals at my house. I love this recipe and it is easy to make. I have made a couple of (very) minor changes but otherwise it's perfect. I put a thin layer of spaghetti sauce on the bottom, rather than greasing it and I have never had a problem with it sticking. I also use a mix shredded provolene and mozzerella from Sargentos. It's easy and I only have to buy one bag of cheese. It's a great recipe and everyone I've shared it with loves it too!

This is awesome!! We make this every year for christmas now. I am quilty of making changes, but only slightly...we do 1 1/2 cups of each choc chips if we are making it with no nuts...It is richer that way. Fabulous recipe! I'm just looking it up to make it again :)

Husband's Delight

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2004
I've made this recipe twice and its been great both! The first time based on other reviews, I made it mexican. I mixed the onions in with the meat and added some taco seasoning and salsa. I did use 8 oz of cream cheese and sour cream and 16 oz of noodles so I had to make a 9x9 pan too, but my husband pulled that out of the freezer for lunch 2 days later. I did almost the same thing the second time but I made it Italian. I used Spaghetti sauce and topped with Mozzeralla cheese. The noodles on the top of this one were crunchy so next time I'll layer them on the bottom only. My family and I loved this recipe and I look forward to playing with it more. /(6/17 addition) Okay This recipe has been a staple in our house for 2 years now. I have enjoyed it so much that I don't have to look at the recipe anymore, not that I follow the recipe exactly either. I mixed black beans in with the meat the last time I made this because I didn't have enough meat and it was probably the best yet. Thanks for the great recipe!
