Broccoli Cheese Soup

With a few alterations like others have mentioned this soup can be a five star recipe. I have used this base recipe quite a few times now and have it pretty well perfected according to my family and friends. What I did was doubled the amount of cheese and broccoli. For cheese I use Velveeta 2%. Instead of milk I use half and half. This makes the soup nice and creamy. I removed the cup of water and instead used one of the cans of chicken broth with the corn starch. That made the soup nice and thick. Finally, this is personal preference, I added a tbsp of black pepper and a half tbsp of cayenne pepper when I add the garlic powder. The flavor is awesome and gets better every time you reheat it. Another thing to try is cutting up a pound of chicken breast and frying it up in a tbsp of oil, spices too if you like, and add to the soup when you add the broccoli. Just another wonderful way to make this soup.
