About this Cook
I'm a 26 yr old mother of a beautiful 6 month old lil boy and am married to the love of my life. I really don't believe in box meals and make everything from scratch if possible. I started learning to cook at 13 cause my mother couldn't boil water so i took over mealtime. I started taking cooking classes then and took everyone i could afford to until i was 18
My favorite things to cook
Homemade Chicken cannelloni, loaded potatoe soup, meatloaf, and any kind of baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
the big turkey for christmas dinner with all the trimmings and then pumpkin pie and cheese cakes for dessert
My cooking triumphs
my besst triumph was my husband loves Zio's chicken and spinach canelloni but they are so expensive so i experimented and mine is better in his words than theirs i even make my own noodles
My cooking tragedies
when i first started cooking at 13 my first meal i made was broiled porksteak which i dried out to shoe leather and had smothered them in oregano. it was so nasty lol

Cheesy Pork Chop Casserole
I changed things up quite a bit i sliced my potatoes almost paper thin and cubed my porkchops. Instead of a can of onion soup i used cream of mushroom and added 3/4 of a can of milk to soup mix. i layered potatoes, then soup mix, then pork chop repeated until i finished with a final layer of potatoes then soup mix baked according to temps and times then sprinkled with fine cheddar cheese. another great tip is to use just a little bit of cooking spray on the pan. My family loved this and there was nothing to save for leftovers
