Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2015
I didn't have pudding mix. I did half butter half crisco and baked for 10 minutes. They were really good!

Real Strawberry Frosting

Followed the recipe exactly. Had all my ingredients at room temperature. Defrosting separated big-time! Won't be trying this one again.

Miss Betty's Super Quick Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2015
I did as other reviewers suggested in subbing 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 heaping tablespoon of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Otherwise I left the recipe as is and baked for about 17-18 minutes. They came out fluffy and moist on the inside though they didn't brown much on top. With butter and jam or honey they were delicious - and SO EASY!

Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2014
It was really good with changes (hence the 4 star rating) - 1 cup regular long grain rice, added 2 chicken bouillon cubes; 2 or 3 fresh broccoli heads cut and steamed 5 or so minutes; 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar (saved some out for the top, last 5 minutes of baking); way less better, probably 1-2 tablespoons.

Slow Cooker Veggie Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2014
This recipe is genius. Followed it exactly except I added 1 teaspoon of salt. It was delicious, with minimal effort and I'm glad I sprayed with Pam as recommended because it made for even less cleanup. Family loved it.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2014
They didn't turn out "fat" though I followed the directions exactly. They are really good though. Ended up chopping up a bar of Ghirardelli's semisweet baking chocolate because I ran out of chocolate chips.

Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2014
It was good. It was WAY too much work for a slow cooker recipe. I will likely try and make it again without doing all the simmering and sauteing called for in the recipe.

Flourless Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2014
Really good - a little rich for me but what I was expecting. Followed the recipe exactly and it came out perfectly (except I forgot to follow my protocol of putting parchment paper in the bottom of the pan which led to difficulty getting the cake out...)

Creme Anglaise Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2014
I did not add the orange liqueur or zest. Used vanilla sugar and vanilla extract. The method was so easy and the recipe is right on. Stirred for 10 minutes, strained, cooled and it was TO DIE FOR.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
The tacos were really good. The white sauce especially - I added some of the seeds with the jalapeno too for a kick. Maybe I did something wrong but the batter was a little too thick for my liking(I did substitute Sprite for beer but I don't think that was the problem. I think it's just the recipe).

Super-Simple, Super-Spicy Mongolian Beef

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
My hubby and I loved this! I didn't change the recipe at all. Used the full 1tbspn of red pepper flakes and it was fine for us but we like spicy food. Also sprung for flank steak which was totally worth the extra few bucks. Sauteed carrots, celery and red bell pepper in the same pan then took it out and sauteed the beef with the extra marinating juices (marinated meat for 2-3hours which was sufficient). Served over white rice. Sooo good! Will definitely be making this again.
