Roasted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2004
Easy to prepare, throw in the oven and forget... until the smell fills the kitchen. Amazing how many people are willing to "help" you remove it from the oven. >;-) Absolutely wonderful!

Such a delicate flavor from such a hearty soup! The different textures and flavors has made this our new "Sunday family dinner" favorite.

Dumplings

Reviewed: May 23, 2004
These are wonderful! Light and fluffy with a perfect texture in the middle. I did use the food processor to cut the butter into the flour. Instead of six large dumplings I made much smaller ones. I recommend making a double batch. Ours seemed to vanish before dinner so I had to make more. Gee, I can't figure out what happened to them. (OKAY, SO WE ATE A BUNCH OF THEM AS THEY WERE COOKING!) To the poster whose dumplings disintegrated while cooking.. try lowering the heat. A gentle simmer and these are perfect! Thanks, Carol!

Fried Pie Pastry

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2004
Growing up, Grandma always made fried peach pies for all of her spoiled grandkids, myself included. Since Grandma's passing, Mom and I have been trying to duplicate the crust with "iffy" results... until now. This recipe is perfect! Many thanks, Donna, for helping my family relive some warm and fuzzy gastronomic memories.

Creamy Caramel Flan

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2004
Absolute heaven! Even my spouse, who doesn't really care for the texture of flan, loved this one! Our guests were raving how smooth and creamy this turned out. After spending the evening with my head inflated from the compliments, I had to deflate over night and the next day email them each a link to the website. Thank you, Jo, for a new way to gain pounds! ==8-)

Asian Coleslaw

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2004
Thank you so much, Bobbi! This is just too good. Since I like more dressing and my spouse likes less, we just add it to our individual bowls at the table. A refreshing break from mayo or vinegar based coleslaws. Definitely a keeper!

Coconut Chocolate Jumbles

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2004
These are to die for! Easy to put together but hard to stop eating them. I've used the mini chips and the regular chips instead of the chocolate squares. Reminds us of macaroons with the addition of chocolate. Heavenly decadence!

Caribbean Chicken Grill with Pineapple Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2005
This is wonderful! The only changes we made were to double the amount of pineapple (to allow for massive quantities of pre-dinner tasting)and set aside 2 Tbsp. of the marinade to add to the pineapple. Since the rain here in SoCal hasn't been conducive to grilling, the broiler worked just fine. Can't wait to try it on the grill!

Watermelon Fire and Ice Salsa

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
This is absolutely perfect as is. I did substitute red peppers for the green. Green peppers don't like me. I usually have to make a double batch, however, as we have a few in the family who prefer a spoon to a chip. Many thanks!

Spicy Cranberry Chutney

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
This is absolutely wonderful! Very light and refreshing. I did take the advice of other reviewers: used orange juice instead of water, extended the cooking time until the cranberries burst, didn't use the pepper flakes and cut the amount of crystalized ginger in half. I did, however, add some of the ginger syrup left over from making the crystalized ginger for a bit more kick. At the end of cooking, I also added some pomegranate seeds for a nice crunch. This went over so well on Thanksgiving, I had to make another batch the next day! Did I mention that it's fantastic over vanilla ice cream? Many, many thanks, Bea, for a new family favorite!

Elin's Pickled Pumpkin

These are beyond addictive! Followed the recipe to the letter and they came out perfect. Crispy, sweet and tart, they were a hit at Halloween. Next batch gets canned and sent to friends and family. Yes, they're THAT good! Thank you so much, Elin!
