About this Cook
I'm 22 and a beginner-level cook. While growing up, my mom always took care of dinner and it was more of a bother when we were in the kitchen with her, so I never learned any tips. Now, I have to learn this all while dealing with the daily stresses of being an adult. Luckily, my boyfriend works as a cook and came from a family who loved cooking and trying new things! My boyfriend can literally look in an empty pantry (well empty in my eyes) & come out with a 4-course meal. I hope to catch on one day!
My favorite things to cook
I like simple things since I'm new. I really enjoy chicken and finding ways to tweak it instead of plain ol' fried or baked chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Casserole, which is your basic breakfast casserole that we all eat before opening presents.
My cooking triumphs
My friend Danielle came over to help me with Spinich Lasaagne Roll-Ups. They came out excellent! I still believe it was her help! I either would've given up, or have done them half-asked if I was by myself.
My cooking tragedies
Ok, I learned that when making puppy chow, dont add the cereal to the skillet of chocolate & PB. I mean, it sounds like common sense but I was gooing by the recipe. I ended up with a giant Chex covered chocolate ball, an emotional breakdown & 2 empty bottles of wine.

Stuffed Shells III
Awesome recipe. This was my first time making stuffed shells and I think I did a pretty darn good job! The only thing that I did different was using less salt (1 teaspoon) and I added garlic and onion powder to the filling which made it taste wonderful. Next time, I'm not going to add the mozzarella cheese to the sauce mixture. It made a very thick "sauce" if that's what you can call it. It was hard to entirely cover the shells. Next time I will just mix the Parmesan cheese and sauce then sprinkle mozzarella on the final product. Also, I used a 11x15 pan and still couldn't fit all of the shells in it. I ran out of filling before all of the shells were filled but this was my fault since I stuffed them alot :) I'm just saying that you will most likely need a bigger pan than a 9x13.

Taco Salad I
This is a GREAT recipe. I'll be honest, I was skeptical about the French dressing, but it turned out great and made for a great salad! The only thing I did differently was use less dressing (not by much.. i used 3/4 of the dressing rather than all) This salad is extremely filling! We both made a HUGE salad and couldn't finish it. I had some of the meat mixture left over and used it as a filling for soft tacos. I put the filling in the tortilla then added shredded cheese & sour cream... amazing leftover lunch :)

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II
Great, simple recipe. I took suggestions of the reviews and doubled the sauce because I was serving it over pasta. I also used chicken broth rather than water and bouillon cube. Also, I dont own anything to squeeze lemons so I bought 100% lemon juice at the store and used this. I also took the suggestion of the video and added garlic powder to the chicken rub. This recipe turned out GREAT! I loved the seasoning on the chicken.. I may have to continue using that. Some reviews so not to cook it first but honestly this is how the chicken becomes AMAZINGLY flavorful. We really enjoyed this meal.
