Irresistible Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2014
Followed recipe except I blended the broccoli in a blender. Very thin, I even added cornstarch to try & thicken it up with no success. Not the greatest flavor either, soy made it on the salty side, I would not make this recipe again.

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
Yum! so good & different. I used amaretto instead of the brandy & cranraisins instead of the dried cranberries & they were excellent. I'm always looking for something out of the ordinary & plan to take these to a cookie exchange this weekend. Great recipe!!!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
These tasted pretty good but were so flat, I like a nice fluffy pancake & these were not. I followed the recipe exactly except for adding the vanilla & cutting back on the salt, I even left the batter sit for 10 minutes before making them. The batter was still very thin & runny resulting in very thin flat cakes.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2007
time consuming but very tasty. This is a saucy recipe & is wonderful with garlic bread to soak up the remaining sauce I did soak the noodles in warm water rather than actually cooking on the stove, great tip!!! However make sure you just use warm water I boiled some in the microwave & it made them almost mushy after soaking. I omitted the salt completely after reading reviews of it being to salty & it tasted fine.

Creamy Pesto Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
Very tasty & so simple. I changed one thing after reading a few reviews saying how rich it was, I used whole milk rather than heavy cream & it worked fine. Next time for a variation I'm going to use chicken.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2006
I've made zucchini bread many times with a few different recipes, this is by far the best. The crumb topping others suggested is a must & adds just the right little something extra. Wonderful recipe!

Sweet Party Mix

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2006
This is so sweet & addictive, it's hard to stop eating. My one & only complaint was mine stuck to the wax paper like glue, I ended up putting it in the freezer so I could get it off. I will not do the wax paper again, otherwise A+++++

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: May 28, 2006
Very easy to prepare & tasty! I didn't care for the combination of poppy & sesame seeds so next time I make it I will just use the poppy seeds. I also added feta cheese & slived toasted almonds, this recipe is a keeper, a nice change for a different type of salad.

Cavatini I

Reviewed: May 23, 2006
This was very tasty, I thought the combination of the meats seemed very strange but to my surprise was delicious. As others said it is quite a bit of a time consuming recipe to prepare but does make a lot. The only thing I changed was I added more pasta & sauce, it just didn't seem like enough pasta for all of the meat involved & I used fresh mushrooms rather than canned.

Vickie's Beer Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2005
So easy & yummy! I think this tastes almost identical to Tastefully Simple beer bread mix that is so expensive, this is a great alternative & just as simple. For the reviews that said it was dry I think they over baked it, I only baked mine about 40 to 45 minutes. Wonderful recipe!

Chocolate Zucchini Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2005
Delicious & so moist! I substituted 1 cup of applesauce for the oil & you would never know. I made 4 small loafs rather than 2 larger ones, it took approximately 40 minutes to bake them.

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
I've tried to make peanut brittle so many times & have failed however now I've found a recipe that works! I did add extra peanuts from other people's suggestions (i used 1 1/2 cups) otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. I was surprised how long it took the mixture get to 300 but it was well worth the wait. great recipe, thanks!

Great Hot Crab Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
very easy to prepare & tasty! I didn't top with the almonds, & added a dash of old bay. If you need to save time you can also microwave on a lower power level instead of baking in the oven.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2004
I am still amazed how simple & easy these were to make. They were delicious & very similar to the expensive "cinnabons" you buy. I followed the recipe exactly & would not change a thing. I will be making these again!

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2004
After reading all the rave reviews I was anxious to give this recipe a try, what a disappointment! The bread was very grainy & dry, we actually threw it away. I would not make this again there are much better options out there than this bland recipe.
