Cheese's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2013
I should have listened to my instincts and not added the bread crumbs. One cup is entirely too much! It gave it the texture of sand. Maybe if you left them off it would be okay. I can't speak to the complaints about the onions that other reviewers mentioned because I left them out believing that onions don't belong in mac and cheese. Very disappointed especially when the photo looks so good.

Clemons Family Bean Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
I have to give this a lower rating because of what the recipe claims to be which is a "bean" dip. Overall, it is a good dip but I couldn't taste the beans in the dip at all. My husband really, really loves beans and he said the same thing. I would double the beans next time.

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
These are really good, my only issue was that 4 cups was too much cheese. I didn't think it was a taste issue but an incorporation issue. I combine these as if I'm making a meatball mixture and the 4 cups of cheese just didn't incorporate well. I would probably use 3 1/2 cups the next time.

Hot Cocoa Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
I have to agree with some of the other reviews that this wasn't sweet enough for me. I added regular sugar to it to taste and it was much better.

Chocolate Chip Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I made this with a mixture of semi-sweet and white chocolate chips(probably ended up with a cup and a half) and left out the pecans (don't like them). I thought it was pretty tasty. It is rich and not for those who don't like super sweet desserts but if you like chocolate chip cookies it's definitely worth a go!!! Good served warm with ice cream!

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
I've never had risotto before and decided to make this for supper with grilled pork chops and green beans. It was pretty good although I must admit I didn't bite into it and think it was fabulous but my husband and I liked it as it was something different to eat. Also, if you're eating it as a side dish I think there's more like 12 servings rather than 6. I agree with some of the other reviews that 2 lbs of mushrooms are way too much. I used 1.5 lbs and it was the perfect amount.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
I followed the advice of some of the other reviews and added a can of black beans and just threw in the frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts, other than that I followed the recipe exactly. My husband ate three bowls and made me promise to make it again. I've never had chicken tortilla soup (it never really interested me until I saw how many good reviews this recipe had) and I must say I thought it was delicious!

Beef Taco Skillet

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
My husband and I loved this recipe. I did as many others did and added a package of taco seasoning to the mixture and it was perfect! Even though I had to tweek the original recipe, I'm still giving it 5 stars because it was super, super easy to fix. On the table in less than 30 minutes and delicious. You can't beat that!!!

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
I loved this recipe! The only thing different I did was season the chicken with salt and pepper before coating it in the bed crumbs. Super easy, tasty, and a good way to work out the days frustrations by being able to hit something with a mallet!!!!

Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
I made this for my husband (I'm like a ten year old, I hate broccoli!). He loved it and said the sauce was very flavorful. I made the recipe exactly as written!

Ropa Vieja in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
I made it like the reviewer (the owner of the recipe) said to make it and my husband and I really liked it. This was something good to eat that was different from your traditional pot roast (which I still love). I will definitely make this again.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
I don't like coffee, but I made this for an office lunch and everyone loved it. I doubled the amount of coffee as so many of the comments suggested and the reaction was mixed. Some people said it was just right, others said it could have used more. No one, however, said that doubling the coffee flavor was too much. Overall, it was a hit!

German Cut-Out Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
Okay, okay, I give up! I guess I just don't like rolled sugar cookies. I've tried several recipes on this site and the recipes that people rave about, to me just don't have much flavor. They aren't sweet enough for me. I thought this one would be different because of the brown sugar, but I just didn't care for it. Also, the dough is sooooo much easier to work with if you chill it first. I think my co-workers will like them, I think I'm just the weirdo that doesn't!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
Everyone raves about this recipe but I found the cookie to be quite bland. Maybe that's how they're supposed to taste to balance out the sweetness of the frosting, but I didn't like them. I made the cookies for work and they were all eaten, so maybe it's just me!

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
I made these for my fiance (who cannot eat a meal without bread!) and we both loved them! They were so easy to make also. Will definitely make again.

Easy Sausage Strata

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2007
I made this for my mom for breakfast and we loved it! I used 1/2 lb of pork sausage and 1/2 lb bacon. I read a comment about the 2 cups of cheese being too much, but I have to disagree, it was perfect!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2006
I hate guacamole but made this for a party. I only used 1 tbsp. of cilantro because to me anyway, it had an overwhelming odor. The people at the party loved this recipe but all agreed that 3 tbsp of cilantro would've been way too much.

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
These biscuits were delicious. I used a combo of mozzarella and parmesan because that's the only cheese I had on hand. I ate them with spaghetti. Yum! Yum!

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
While I'm not a fan of Alfredo sauce (which is strange because I love all the individual ingredients that go into it), I made this for a dinner party and everyone loved it. I changed it up a bit, adding 1 1/2 cup of parmesan and 1 1/2 cup of fontina brought to room temp. Left out the parsley and had no fresh garlic so I used garlic powder. According to my guests they would eat it again!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
A really good base to start with, but for my family it was a little on the bland side. While it might not be traditional stroganoff, I would add garlic or some other seasoning that gives it more of a kick.
