About this Cook
I started cooking when I was 14 and it's just always something I have loved. Nothing compares to a homemade dessert or meal.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook desserts more than anything(but I end up eating it too!!). I enjoy trying new and different recipes or altering old ones. I also like to challenge my self to cook a healthier version.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I try not to stick to anything traditionally, as I like to change things up whether it a Xmas meal or Easter...
My cooking triumphs
My first attempt at making Baklava was a huge hit that the same people I served it to are still talking about it a year later. My trifles are getting rave reviews as well.
My cooking tragedies
I've never had anything totally flop, but if I try to bake with no fat and all stevia(natural sugar) my teenage boys won't eat it!

Curried Mustard Greens with Kidney Beans
I'm sure it was fine as is,,,but I soaked some adzuki beans, homemade yogurt for 1/2 & 1/2 and had no premade curry so threw in a mixture of cinnnamon, coriander, tumeric, asafoetida and cumin, and pureed diced tomatoes. Served with a chunk of naan and cauliflower kadhi,,,would make again.

Ribollita (Reboiled Italian Cabbage Soup)
very good,,,didn't alter(unusual for me!) anything, except didn't have french bread so I toasted my whole grain chewy bread and topped at the end under broiler with cheese,,,thank you, awesome!

Brussels Sprouts and Barley Soup
had a few brussel sprouts to use up and wanted to make a grainy soup this was perfect, I 1/2'd it and didn't add any salt with the salted butter. Also had a few mung beans leftover thru those in at the end for some chew!!
