Unbelievable Spinach Calzones

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
These were wonderfully delicious! I made them, exactly as stated in the recipe, to take to a homebound family, and they raved about them. Couldn't wait to get the recipe! I did have some leftover filling, so the next night I used the Pillsbury Pizza Dough as per Ellie's review from 3/07, and my husband loved them also. I'll definitely use the refrigerated pizza dough next time, as the only hard part for me was rolling out the bread dough with my arthritic hands.

Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2007
My husband decided on this particular recipe when hunting for twice-baked recipes. He used only the bacon, butter, sour cream cheese & breadcrumbs, but they were definitely some of the best I have ever eaten, and he received rave reviews from our dinner guests.

Tart and Bubbly Wedding Punch

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2007
I served this punch at a baby shower I gave recently. The color went really well with the theme colors. It must have been delicious. The guests drank it so fast, I didn't get to try it. Needless to say, I will definitely serve it again!

Skillet Squash and Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
Really good! I used a combination of yellow summer, and zuchini squash, and the flavors blended nicely. My family really enjoyed it.

Roasted Vegetables

I used yellow summer squash instead of butternut, but followed all ingredients and measurements, otherwise. Rave reviews from family!

Banana Split Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2007
Crowdpleaser! I used reduced fat Nilla wafers (11 oz pkg, instead of 16 oz, only because I didn't notice it until a got home)reduced fat cream chase, and reduced fat Cool Whip. The cream cheese, confectioners' sugar quantities seemed a little thin when spread,so I think I will try 12 oz next time. The addition of the instant banana cream pudding sounds like a possibility also, although the crowd (11 adults, devoured it prepared just as it was!) Only leftovers wil 2 pieces, which the host & hosted gladly kept for later in the evening. (after already having had 2 pieces each.) In case you can't tell, this is definitely a keeper. Hope I have the opportunity to take it to more hot weather functions!

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2007
Really good! When my husband says so, especially since he makes some really mean burgers himself, they must be good. I plan to try experimenting with some different seasonings next time. Hope I don't blow it...wouldn't want to mess up a good thing!

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2007
Wow! I have had so much difficulty with grilled corn in the past (yes, I followed other recipes). This was perfect! I didn't change anything, and my husband, who doesn't really care for corn on the cob, loved it. He said next time we're going to try some "Old Bay Seasoning". Can't wait!

Delicious Southern Cornbread

Reviewed: May 5, 2004
Tried the sorghum molasses as the author suggested. Not only turned the cornbread dark, but gave it a most unusual flavor. Not of the usual cornbread lovers in my house cared for it. 4 whole slices & 3 half-eaten were thrown out.
