Beef Samosas

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2013
This is by far the best samosa recipe I have found on line. If someone gives it a bad rating it is only because they do not like Indian style spicy food. If you like spicy food you will love these. All my Pakistani friends rave when I make these.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2013
Thanks for the effort but this was not what I was looking for. I love Sloppy Joes and I was really craving them so you would think I would like this. This is NOTHING like traditional Sloppy Joes. The mustard and too much brown sugar destroy it. This was sickly sweet with a horrible bitter aftertaste. My daughter refused to eat it. I was able to add some tomato paste and mellow it out enough to be edible, but if I were to do it again I would leave out the mustard and cut the brown sugar in half if not remove it entirely as catsup already has a ridicules amount of sugar in the first place.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2013
I liked this recipie. I have tried quite a few taco seasonings and they never came out nearly as good as this. This did come out a little too hot, but I think that was because there are huge differences in how and where you get chili powder. I was using pure Indian chili powder where most chili powder in American stores are much older and weaker and a mix of different types of chilis. I should have known to cut it down I would never even consider using this much even in super hot curry. I guess you could just use less mix but then you will have to give up the other flavors and like someone else said I am a garlic/onion lover and I would not want to give up that flavor. Better to adjust the powder than cut down flavor. But since my family likes HOT food, they just added a little extra sour cream to reduce the heat. Next time I will stick to 1/2 a tbsp. I made a batch to keep on hand and i also skipped the red chili flakes. Never like them and they are redundant considering you already have chili powder. If you have kids who like the toco bell type you can consider adding 1/4 tsp of corn starch it will give it the texture they are used to. My kids love it that way, but not me.
