Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2013
My first attempt was great...only tweak would be to mix the butter/cinnamon/sugar filling together beforehand and use 1 1/2x the amount. The amount listed was good, but I think a little more would elevate the recipe. First attempt in probably 15 years of using yeast in a recipe (I don't have a machine, so by hand) and I was very impressed.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2013
Excellent.....if you like more flavor, definitely add additional spices to batter and crumble. I substituted the oil for the butter. Make sure the butter for the crumble is softened NOT melted and it works perfectly...doesn't melt down the muffin at all. This made 1 dozen regular sized muffins for me.

Spicy Maryland Crab Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Had extra crab leftover from New Years, so I thought I'd try this for Rose Bowl party. Very disappointed. It was way too "crabby" tasting. Recipe shows 3/4 pound of crab, which seems excessive (is that supposed to be 3/4 pound of crab legs or just the meat?) I put about 1/2 pound of actual king crab leg meat and stopped...where I live that is one expensive dip! Perhaps I messed up using King Crab, just not for me.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2003
If you like somewhat "sweet" salmon, then this is a good recipe. I, however, would prefer a more savory salmon dish. Not very flavorful.

Babe Ruth Bars

VERY easy....tastes pretty good, perhaps a little too chocolately...a little more peanut butter might have increased my satisfaction.

Pollo Fajitas

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2003
"Pollo Fajitas" makes them sound far more authentic, than they really are...although I believe the proper name would be "Fajitas de Pollo". Quite honestly some of the worst fajitas I have ever had. Not sure how this recipe earned such a high rating, but I thought it was awful. I agree with the person that stated they have had good fajitas, and these are definately not it. They were bland and pretty much tasteless. Only way to "save" them is to pile on the toppings.
