My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2015
Very delicious. Followed it pretty close except had no red wine vinager, which is too bad because many others said that was the ingredient that really kicked this up a notch. But still turned out great. Next time I will sub the water for clam juice and add more clams. Used more milk than half and half to cut the calories just a bit. Added a little Old Bay too. Very delish. Will be making again!

Pasta Hot! Hot! Hot!

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2014
So easy. So good. My 5 year old asks for this at least once a week. You can add more or less spice to suit your tastes. I've also added a little onion or whatever here and there. So many add in possibilities.

Mac-N-Cheese Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2014
Every year me and my sis have a cook off. Different "theme" every year-- this year was pizza. We both made 4 or 5 and had a big party and everyone could come eat and vote. We didn't say which pizza was who's so it was all fair voting. And this pizza WON! I wanted to do something wayyyy off the wall and found this recipe. Followed it to a T. Very good! It's not MY personal favorite as I like a lot a veggies but I could see why everyone liked this. :)

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2014
These are so good. Followed this exactly and they were the best! If you take your time and shape them perfectly they'll come out beautiful. I was sloppy on my first batch so they looked like but still tasted amazing. The 2nd time they came out looking and tasting like something you'd get at a restaurant. You'll love these. Yummy!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2014
This is really good! Made my own crust though. It doesn't make a very tall cheesecake so if that's what you're looking for you have to make more batter. (Double it maybe? I'm gonna do that next time and see how it works out) just as is it's very very good. My husband was in heaven when he tried it. I will be making this again!

Banana Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2014
These are bland and have a weird texture. No flavor. Very dry too. I loaded it with salted butter after they cooked to see if even that would make them edible- it didn't.

Ultimate Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2014
These are good and EASY! Few things--- got the pre cooked pack of bacon and the twin pack green beans from SAMs club. Had to use some of it up. Just cut up the bacon and cooked the onion in a little EVOO instead of the bacon grease. Plus added a little less butter. Yummmmy! My husband said it was a little on the spicy side, which this would be good even if u reduced or omitted the red pepper flakes. You could probably replace the flakes for minced garlic? I'll try that next time. Very good! Should be a hit!

Carrot Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2014
This is really good-- and EASY! But a few things: you really don't have to add any more salt (the cream soup has enough!) also added some celery with the onion. I used a handful of shredded cheddar and it worked perfect. (No other cheese on hand) Nice recipe!

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2014
This is so good. I did not use the anchovy paste because I didn't have it, but I'll tell ya, didn't matter! I let this stuff sit out for an hour while I chopped veggies and kept tasting it. Seriously I ate half of it before it even hit the pizza crusts. Also, had only crushed garlic...still the best sauce ever!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2014
We loved this! Baked it in a 9x9 pan and it turned out great (may need to cook a little longer then) added more cinnamon too. WILL make this a bunch. A nice change from making banana bread to use up old bananas

Avocado Quick Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2014
This is a pretty good bread. It wasn't my favorite but when I served it people said it was good. The greenish color was a little weird for some people until I explained it was Avacado bread. Everyone said "Avacado bread?!!! Really?!" Ha! I always make breads and I've tried tons of 5 star recipes.. This just didn't quite make it in my book. Oh, well. There's a million wasys to make bread and at least I can now say I made an Avacado bread!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2014
This is the most absolutely delish soup I've made! Had a few changes, add ons. Put carrots, celery and a little onion and crushed garlic in. I think that really adds to it. Used 1/2 cream and 1/2 1% milk and it just worked out perfect. My husband had 4 bowls hot off the stove. Used the Uncle Bens wild rice and whole seasoning packet and wouldn't change that as it worked out really good. Also just used a rotisserie chicken from the deli, cut up. Makes no difference at all! Make this recipe! It's sooooo good!!!!!!!!

Easy Meatloaf

Kids didn't like it that much. It was just ok. Make more topping for it. Maybe that would help. I offered to make this meatloaf again and my husband said 'no, that's ok'

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2014
Very, very good. Sweet, but fudge is suppose to be! I start timing the butter mix when I see the 1st few bubbles and it turns out great every time. The kids can't get enough and are ready to dig in before it's even fully chilled. Awesome fudge recipe!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2014
I was making a different banana bread recipe for YEARS and just thought I'd try something different. THIS is my new go-to for banana bread! So so sooo good. Followed it pretty close but I didn't melt the butter, just softened it and used the mixer for that and the sugar, otherwise mixed everything else by hand. I also mashed the bananas and this worked out fabulous. Everyone is raving its so moist! Yummy!!!!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
This is really, really good! I had everything but the bacon bits but it didn't matter. I made it in the crockpot the day before and I think it's better the 2 nd day. Only used 2 cans of beans too. All the ingredients may seem like a little too much work/ too expensive but it's so worth it. Best chili I've ever made! Makes a big batch so if you're making it for a small family, you'll be eating leftovers.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2014
This is a good cheesecake! Easy too. I always do the crust with boxed breadcrumbs, butter, sugar and a little cinnamon. As for the "cheese" part-- omg! Yummy!!!! I was horrified I forgot the flour completely until it was in the oven. Made no difference at all. After the hour of cook time, I turned off the oven and let it sit in there for a few hours. Then put it in the fridge overnight. I got up to a chilled, beautiful cheesecake. My husband said it tastes like it's from an upscale bakery! Make this recipe!!!
