Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 3, 2013
Didn't have enough brown sugar so I added extra white sugar. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. They were ok. The cookies have a funny taste to them that I can't place. They are gooey inside and crisp outside, as stated. I will not be making these again...the funny taste ruins it for me.

Cinco de Mayo Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2013
Made for dinner tonight and loved it! Hubby ate it as well. :) I added a can of Bush's Grillin' Beans: Black Bean Fiesta and left out the onions and garlic (didn't have any). A tad bit bland but did have flavor. Will make again! Served with warmed flour tortillas. Leftovers tomorrow will be Nacho style! Makes a lot (serves more than 6)!

D's Taco Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
Exceptional! Taco pizzas are not liked in this household...not even restaurant quality taco pizzas...but D's Taco Pizza changed that! It even reheated very well for the next 2 days. I made homemade pizza dough since I could not find the one referred to in the recipe and it still turned out great! This is a definite remake!! Thanks D! :)

Lawry's® Chop House Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
Salt and Pepper are still the best seasonings for steak. The marinade overpowered the flavor of the steak and was all we could taste.

My Country Style Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
This turned out really well. I was a little worried just by the look of the dish when it was finished cooking....dog food. But it sure didn't taste like it!!! I used beef broth instead of water and left out all the added salt due to the onion soup mix...it has a lot of salt already in it! I also used plain garlic and not garlic salt for that same reasoning...too much salt. :/ It says to simmer for 1 hour but I just couldn't wait that long...it smelled so good! We ate it 20 minutes early and it still turned out wonderfully tender and juicy. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and green sweet peas! YUM! :)

Turkey Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
This had a weird woody flavor...not sure why. I took others advice and used onion powder. Left out the lettuce and dill due to not having it as this was a last minute lunch on a Saturday. Overall, I will try it again and see if the woody flavor was my ingredients...could be. Thanks for the recipe, Paula!

Tangy Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Did inside in the oven and turned out great! I covered it with foil while in the oven but that created too much liquiid. Next time...no foil! :) Thanks Sadie!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
When I started this recipe, I made the sauce first and then went to get the chicken...not realizing that I had no chicken (haven't been to the store in a LONG time). So, I used the sauce for steak that I DID have. :) Salt and peppered the steaks and grilled them, applying the sauce as they grilled. It turned out great! When will I ever learn to check before I cook? I get so carried away :) Thanks for this recipe!

Raspberry-Glazed Rosemary Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
I used blueberry preserves instead of rasberry and Swanson Flavor Boost (chicken) instead of chicken broth. This turned out wonderfully. There was a lot of liquid in the pan after cooking but that's because I covered with foil. I won't do that next time.

Vegan Bean Taco Filling

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
Omitted the cumin due to a family allergy. I also didn't have cornmeal so I just left it out. I used Rotel instead of salsa. Served on tostada shells with lettuce, tomato, etc. Very good! Plenty of leftovers for lunches the next day.

Angel's Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
I added red pepper flakes for an added zing. Cutting the zucchini circles in half was better for bite-sized eating. I added 5 tomatoes instead of 3...I like tomatoes...but they didn't overpower. No fresh basil so I added dried to zucchini mixure on the stove. Husband liked it so I will definitely do again!

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
Very good! I used Panko breadcrumbs and would not recommend using them in this recipe. When placed in the pasta/sauce mixture, the panko began to separate from the chicken and float around in the pan with the sauce....YUCK! I'm not sure if breadcrumbs would do the same? However, next time, I will cook the chicken separetly all the way and add it on at the end to the plate...not the skillet.

LOVED THIS! It takes awhile to cook but well worth it. Crock Pots are my sworn enemy so this oven version made me SO HAPPY!! I made it even healthier by using "No Yolks" noodles, which basically has no fat!
