Sour Cream Cheese Casserole

This was very easy to make and was very creamy and good, however the cracker crumbs didn't really add anything as a topping as they were soggy. I think something a bit crisper or crunchier on top would be good as a contrast to the creaminess. Maybe I would add some cheese on top to brown up a bit.

Steak Diane

I used fillet steak, not strips, and needed to use a bit more dry mustard to rub on the steak than what was called for in the recipe. Also at the end I added dijon mustard not dry mustard. It didn't make enough sauce though I would add a bit of beef stock next time, all in all quite tasty.

Lamb Chops in Duck Sauce

There's no such thing here as duck sauce, but I read that it is really plum sauce, so I used that instead. It was really good, recommended.

I think that the marinade gave the chops a good flavour, I didn't find it too tangy. I think it could probably do with a little more garlic though to balance the flavours a little better.

A Southern Fried Chicken

I didn't like this at all. It was incredibly messy to prepare, and the end result of the coating was thick and tasteless. I was hoping for something lighter and crisper.

Chicken and Leek Casserole

This was really tasty, I also put in some fresh chopped asparagus which added to the flavour (you could also try broccoli). I put puff pasty on top of the casserole dish sprinkled with poppy seeds which really worked well.

I liked this very much, although when I went to put the dijon mustard in I found I didn't have any, so i put in wholegrain mustard instead. It worked very well, so tasty.

Way too much vinegar, I used the whole cup and had to dilute it with beef stock. I would use perhaps half a cup of the vinegar, and some stock or water.

Wasn't too sure about this one as I'm not a really big fan of a strong red wine taste. But this was really good, and the paprika and garlic salt (used a bit more than suggested) really spiked the flavour up.

Pan-Roasted Steak and Onions
