Marinade for Chicken

Great marinade! I used it for chicken on the grill. One small change, I added some honey for sweetness. Didn't hurt original recipe at all. For those of you who don't need as much, use the "change servings" (under the Ingredients) as I did and you won't waste any by making too much!

Tomato Basil Soup

If there was a higher rating, I would give it a "10". But as usual, I have to use what I had, and that was a 15 oz. can of tomato sauce, 28 oz. can of tomatoes (put in a blender) and instead of heavy cream, I had a box of the Swanson Cream Starter. Put in about 1 1/2 of that and instead of using a blender, I used a hand blender and pureed it in the same pot. Came out BEAUTIFULLY!!! A little rustic, but with my homemade garlic croutons, made from leftover hamburger buns, all I can say is WOW!

Rush Hour Refried Beans

What was that bacon grease all about. Sounded like a good recipe, but the bacon taste with the cumin? I don't think so. My husband, who is not all that fussy about food, was not at all concerned that he was throwing these beans out!

Chicken Crunch

If you love creamy goodness...you'll love this recipe. Since I'm only cooking for two, I used 3 chicken breast and cut down the sour cream to 1/3 cup. Instead of putting pads of butter, I melted it and added to the cracker crumbs. Served over wide noodles with a side of mixed veggies...YUMMY

Key Lime Cheesecake I

This cheesescake certainly is a "10" in my book!. I made it, as one person said with 32.oz creamcheese and 1 1/4 cups sugar, 4 eggs, and half key lime juice and half lemon juice. I serve mine with a red raspberry sauce with Chambourd (put through a food mill to remove seeds)A big hit and if there is any raspberry sauce leftover, it goes great over vanilla ice cream. YUM

Best Buttercream Frosting

GREAT RECIPE! I used baker's sugar because it's finer and blended quicker. I also used the idea of making a roux with 4 Tbsp. of the butter with 4 Tbsp. Wondra Flour. (also finer texture) Topped off my banana cake wonderfully!! Thanks Jennifer!

Quick Chicken Stew

Excellant recipe! I had bought an already roasted chicken and used that, adding cooked chicken after vegetables had cooked. I found that there was not enough liquid so I added 1 cup chicken broth and 1 Tbsp. concentrated tomato paste. My husband went back for seconds with no help at all!!! KEEPER! Was this review helpful? Sugared Black Raspberry Tea Cookies

Great Recipe. To make uniform cookies, I used my melon baller. And to make it easy to fill the wells I put the jam in a sandwich bag, cut off a small corner and used it like a frosting bag.
