Warm Crab Parmesan Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2014
Outstanding!! Thank you for an outstanding recipe!!! I tweaked as recommended by Noelle and used fresh crab meat. I also used Parmigiano Reggiano, which made a big difference. I also added a dusting of the parm cheese to the top of the dip and found it formed a lovely golden brown crust that folks seemed to wrestle for:) I added two teaspoons of red pepper flakes and a teaspoon of fresh ground black pepper for some spice. I chose to substitute fresh toasted French Bread slices for the tortilla chips (slice French baguette, toast in 350 degree oven for the last 8-10 minutes that the dip is cooking). This one is a crowd pleaser!!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2014
Incredibly tasty and very easy to make. Cook it for the suggested time and you have a tender pork loin that tastes great. I did find different ways the more I used the recipe. Once, it worked out that it cooked longer than the suggested time (5.5 hours) I found that the meat simply broke down and became a lovely "pulled pork" dish. For leftovers, I simply threw the "pulled pork" into a pan with some spicy BBQ sauce, caramelized it a bit, then served it on fresh hoagie rolls. Yum!!!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2014
Absolutely outstanding flavor and very, very easy to make. My wife loved it and we finished it all within 48 hours!! Excellent recipe and a great argument for never buying jarred apple sauce again. Best of all, you can play with the sugar content as your apples vary in sweetness. This one is a winner!!

Apple Spice Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2014
I made this recipe this past weekend and loved it!! Much easier to make than I suspected it would be, and very, very tasty! I expected it to be a bit dry, but it was very moist and has maintained well in the fridge since I made it. The powdered sugar on top does add something to the overall flavor, but could be left off if you wanted to lower the sugar content. I suspected that the powdered sugar would get "gummy" after some time in the fridge, so I choose to sprinkle each individual serving as I go. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Flank Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2014
This is an excellent recipe. Nice combination of flavors here. The next round, I think I'll leave out the brown sugar to experiment with making the marinade less sweet. I made this with a white wine and parm-regg risotto and it worked out really well. Overall, this is a winner!

Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2014
This is a great recipe. I will add maybe some cinnamon and some nutmeg to the next try, but this is an excellent basic recipe!! I have experimented with a little less sugar in the pudding itself and it worked really well. Give it a try!

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2014
This is an excellent recipe!! It can be customized to what you like on your pizza. I used real Parmigiano Reggiano and my own, slightly spicy gravy and it was delicious!!.

Old-Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
This recipe is very good. Easy to prepare, it makes a pancake that is slightly heavy and dense, yet tastes light. One reason that my batter may have been thicker is that I live in a very humid climate (SC), so the humidity in the air may have contributed a bit. Overall, these pancakes were excellent. This will be my "go-to" pancake recipe from now on.
