Johnny's Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2014
Made this today but thought it was a bit too spicy hot. Good flavor but just too peppery hot. May try again but with half the amounts listed for the Creole seasoning. Even son, who loves spicy hot foods, said it was too peppery.

Chocolate Beer Cupcakes With Whiskey Filling And Irish Cream Icing

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2014
I made these over the weekend and brought them in for my office for St. Patty's Day and everyone loved them! They are moist and flavorful! You definitely need to double the frosting recipe if you are using the large decorator tip and piping the frosting onto the cupcakes. I followed the recipe exactly and they came out perfect! Will definitely make these again!!!

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: May 5, 2013
We decided to make enchiladas today for Cinco de Mayo but didn't have the sauce, so I decided to look it up on AR and so glad that I did. This recipe is very easy and so good that it has been declared that we will not buy canned sauce again! I doubled the recipe and used half regular chili powder and (since we like things hot & spicy) half adobo seasoning with a dash of cayenne. Other than that I followed the recipe as written. Can't wait for the enchiladas to come out of the oven and taste the final entree since the sauce was so tasty by itself!!!

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2013
We call these "Raggedy Robins" and I learned to make them many years ago in my 7th grade Home Economics class. I still make them today for my family and hope to pass this recipe on to my grandchildren! They come out great every time and are so easy to make. I always use butter because it just makes them taste much better!

Chef John's Buttermilk Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
Perfect, perfect, perfect!!! Can you tell I really love these biscuits and this recipe?! This is the first biscuit recipe that I have tried that the biscuits actually came out flaky, buttery and not tough and flat. I had basically given up on making biscuits from scratch but made a red velvet cake and had leftover buttermilk that I didn't want to waste and came across this recipe on AR. The video was great and extremely helpful! I followed everything by the recipe and made perfect buttermilk biscuits to go with our Easter ham dinner. And we have some left to make ham sandwiches with for lunch! Thanks for the great recipe and video.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
I made these today for Easter breakfast and everyone loved them. My family said they're the closest to Cinnabon that they've ever had and I've emailed several of them the link to this recipe! I made a cream cheese icing that topped off the warm cinnamon rolls perfectly!!! Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe that I will be making at least once a month for my family!

Cola-Basted Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
I just made this today for Easter dinner and it was very good! I used Dr Pepper and left out the bread crumbs and everyone said it tasted great and asked what I used. Thanks for the recipe -- will be using this again when I make ham!

Easy Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2013
What a waste of flour, crisco, milk and time! These were flat, greasy and tasteless!!! Definitely will not make again ever!!! Don't waste your time with this one -- just look for another recipe that actually works!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2013
I made this two days ago and used one cup white sugar and one cup brown sugar and also added vanilla and cinnamon. I also mixed my ingredients differently from the directions -- used a mixer to cream the butter and sugars; then added eggs, dry ingredients, and mashed bananas; lastly stirred in chopped nuts. I think this works better than mixing by hand or stirring. My whole house smelled wonderful the day I baked them and the next. Very moist and flavorful and will definitely be making it again!
