Old Time Soft Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
I love sugar cookies so I doubled this recipe and quite frankly as followed these cookies are extremely bland. I salvaged the remainder of the batch by adding 1/2c. more sugar, 1tsp. cream of tartar, 1/2c more flour and rolling them in cinnamon/sugar to create snickerdoodles. Those I thought were edible. I didn't touch the rest of the sugar cookies I had remaining, but my husband and son seemed to think they were o.k.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
This is one of the better recipes I've found here for choc. chip cookies. They do turn out moist and were very easy to make. I followed SVROSS's advice and added the 2T Vanilla extract, 2tsp baking powder and 1/2tsp salt. Perfect. I only had one box vanilla pudding so I had to substitute one cheesecake. As far as I can tell that made no difference in the taste. Also substituted 2C. butter flavor crisco and 12 tsp. water in place of 2C butter. They were moist and easy to shape. They do not flatten out so you can put quite a few good size cookies on one sheet.

Banana Cream Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
Everyone raved about this cheesecake. I did make a few changes just to the topping. 1. I added sliced banana on top of the cake. 2. I was not happy with the topping so I improvised with 1 small box banana cream pudding add 3/4 cup milk and 1/2 tub of Fat Free cool whip. I mixed pudding and milk folded in topping and put on top of banana slices using a cake decorating tips.

excellent recipe. Easy to make. Everyone requested the recipe for these cookies. Side note make sure you follow the directions and use parchment paper on your cookie sheets.

Easy Black Bottom Cupcakes

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
Before reading everyone's reviews I baked these cupcakes following the recipe exactly. I thought it was strange that a cheesecake recipe had no eggs, but I thought I'd give it a whirl. My adivce is follow the recommendations of just about eveyone else and get your own cheesecake recipe for the topping. The topping on this recipe is nothing but sugar and sinks into the cupcakes and hardens.

Ranch Oyster Crackers

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
This recipe was o.k. I thought mine turned out a little bland, and I used all of the "optional" ingredients except the garlic powder. If you use garlic salt in place of garlic powder I am certain that they will turn out too salty as someone else mentioned. In addition - if you use a standard box (15 oz.) of oyster crackers you will probably need to increase the oil. My son loves these.. so I will continue to experiment with the recipe.
