The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World

first chili i ever made--some modifications.. 1. sub'd jar of pre-diced green chiles supposedly for indian dish.. 2. sub'd chopped dried chipotle peppers instead of chili powder 3. 1 jalepeno instead of 2 4. did not use meat/meat substitute because gf doesn't believe in them? 5. was stewing sauce/veggies and cooking beans* separately.. i had bought dry beans--did not anticipate the soaking/etc required for them.. had to do quick pre-soak, 10 min boil, and bake them in covered dutch oven @ 325 deg, for 2 hrs... then added to stewing sauce. supposedly smelled lovely to girlfriend. threw in frozen corn kernels and stirred. just fantastic. submitting to work chili contest tomorrow--hope i win! thanks for this recipe!! robin
