Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Not recommended for an inexperienced chef. Don't skimp on corn starch (don't overdo because it will taste starchy.) I had to doctor the custard at the end of the last boiling period. A last ditch effort to thicken the mixture was to add corn starch to cold lemon juice and to throw it into the existing mixture. The recipe says "stir until think;" ensure the mixture is THICK (like doughnut jelly) or else will not set.

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

I loved this recipe! I made some changes to enhance the flavour: 10% cream instead of milk + SALTED butter + REAL vanilla extract. The little bit of salt in the icing helped curb the yummy sweetness.

Zucchini Cake III

I am a canadian student on a German exchange in Berlin and my German family wanted me to bake something different for them. When I made them this cake they loved it so much that they ask me to make it again every weekend. People are usually skepticle about using zuchinni in cake, but this is one of the best, most flavorful, and most moist cakes I have ever had.

Blueberry Pound Cake

Fantastic flavor but stuck to the pan. I followed the exact measurements for butter and sugar for preparing the loaf pan; after 10 minutes of cooling the cake, half of my loaf stuck to the pan when I tipped it out to finish cooling.
