About this Cook
i'm just a simple southern woman from Texas. i have Celiac disease. i like wolves. i have a fiance.
My favorite things to cook
spicy food. i hate it but my fiance loves it so i guess its my favorite thing to cook because it makes him happy and he says im great at it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
well i don't know if i have any favorite traditions myself but my fiance keeps telling my his favorite is my scrambled eggs. which my mother taught me and her mother taught her and so on and so fourth. honestly i can not tell you exactly how i make them as i use the old pinch of this and a dash of that logic but i can tell you i use salt, brown eggs and milk. and that's it. my amazing fiance raves about them so i guess i shall actually have to calculate how much of each i use and then post it on here.
My cooking triumphs
my first baking competition, the category was chocolate and i made gluten free candy bars which i will later post the recipe for, in which i won second place. though i believe it was rigged because the owners won first. i'm not complaining i am very happy with my win i just found it strange.
My cooking tragedies
i once decided to make my fiance a special breakfast just for him as a reward for building the chicken coop. I slaved over the stove for 40 minutes and when i was done i was making a show of bringing him the food. he was clapping and i did not watch where i was going and slipped on a tinny drop of egg that had landed on the floor. both plates went in the air and one landed on its top and the other landed perfectly saving the food. but i landed hard on my leg and when i saw the ruined plate i just burst into tears. he came and held me and gave the ruined food to the dogs and ate what was left of the saved food.
