Chocolate Cobbler

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
I just ran across this recipe and couldn't believe I hadn't reviewed it. I haven't made it in a long time because it is SOOOO good and SOOOOO rich. I will definitely make it again. Soon.

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
Used leg quarters---very moist. Cooked the chicken & potatoes on different pans, same amount of time---excellent results. Coated the chicken w/ the oil/herb mixture a couple hours before baking and would do the same (or overnight) next time---no lack of flavor.

Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Blue Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
With a glass of zinfandel---omg. I used parmesan (cut into small chunks) instead of bleu. Will make again and may have to try them almonds too.

Tiramisu Toffee Dessert

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
I have had this recipe "in waiting" for a few years and finally made it this weekend. OMG---it is so easy and SO good! I didn't think mixing the whipping cream into the rest of the topping ingred. would work but it does, you just have to beat it for a few minutes (maybe 5?) Excellent! Will definitely make again.

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
These are great but they have way too much bread crumbs. I used a pound and a half of ground chuck and only a half cup of bread crumbs and still needed to add a little milk (almost a quarter cup) just to moisten the mixture. The mixture was quite dry but the end product was great. I made 6 sandwiches (due to the added half pound of meat) and used one jar of sauce and we felt it was the perfect sauce/meat ratio. Will definitely make again.

Kentucky Bourbon Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
Used pecans (none on top) and followed recipe, adding only a tad more bourbon when mixing the butter and everything together. MUST be served at room temp to appreciate flavors and texture. Never had them before---love 'em! Very easy to make. I ended up w/ about 36 and did not feel like they were small.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2007
Used 1/2 the amount of chicken, otherwise made as written. Excellent. A tad salty. I recommend not adding salt to your pasta water. Will definitely make again.

Spinach Cheese Tortellini

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
This is fantastic! And pretty easy to make. I halved the butter and cream cheese and certainly did not miss it. Added garlic and would do so again. Used 2 tomatoes for more color--would also do again. Creamy, flavorful---loved it.

Guy Approved Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
This just replaced our favorite meatloaf recipe. OMG, this was excellent. I didn't find any of the flavors overpowering (I did use a bit less liquid smoke but otherwise followed recipe). Did need to uncover and put on top rack of oven for the last half hour to thoroughly cook bacon. I was concerned it would dry out---not at all, and the crispy ends were everyone's favorite part.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
These are great!! Can't wait to make them again! I did not use the pineapple. I marinated this all day. I tried cutting the bacon into thirds instead of half--don't, just a little too small. I also precooked the bacon just until it was soft & opaque--perfect. The chicken was still moist & the bacon was crispy. I left the mushrooms whole. Yum-me!

Roasted Potatoes with Greens

Wonderful! Used a dried rosemary/herb mix and forgot to add the parmesan at the end--didn't miss it. Cooked potatoes an extra 10 minutes. Will absolutely make again & again.

O my goodness---this is fabulous! Per other reviewers suggestions I only used 1/4 cup olive oil and that was perfect. Added a little salt & pepper and some chicken breasts marinated in italian dressing and grilled. Will definitely make again & again. Thanks for this super easy recipe!

O my! This is wonderful! I did not use the whole 6 Tbs. of oregano--I used about 1 1/2 Tbs. Served w/ buttered red potatoes. Yum!

Chicken Garlic Pizza

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
Loved it! Made a few adjustments (and completely forgot the tomatoes!)--doubled the butter mixture, used lots of fresh basil, omitted the cilantro, used grilled marinated chicken, added mushrooms and fresh mozz. I'm anxious to make this again w/ the tomatoes! Yum!

Won Ton Wrapper Appetizers

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
Great base recipe---easy to personalize. Too much ranch though---3/4 cup would be plenty. I added some hot sauce and chopped green onions. Next time I'll use spicy sausage or add some jalapenos.

Grilled Tilapia with Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
THE BEST fish dish I have made! Even my husband, who doesn't really like fish, liked it. I doubled the recipe, everything except the olive oil in the marinade. I didn't even use the 1/3 cup. Can't wait to make this again! Thanks!

I have made this twice but both times marinated the chicken different than the recipe calls for and made some other small adjustments. Excellent!
