Bagel and Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2004
After reading other reviews I made some minor changes i.e. cubing the bagels & making sure there was enough liquid to cover them all. I also used fresh mushrooms, ham instead of bacon, used cheddar on top instead of parm, etc. Awesome!!!

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2004
I've been making this for years but I had to share this---for the holidays I decided to replace the milk with light eggnog and the half & half with skim evaporated milk and did NOT make the caramel topping. It was a great holiday variation! Might become a x-mas morning tradition.

Hash Brown Casserole

This was good but needs more zip. I'd make it again but I'd use more cheese and maybe some salsa?

Marinade for Steak I

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2004
Made this last night with steaks for company. My brother-in-law (not one to hand out compliments) said it was the best steak he's ever had. Followed the recipe exactly. Excellent!

Shudderuppers

Heavenly. The trick is heating them slowly. I thought the same might be good w/ tootsie rolls. Not.

Peri Peri African Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2004
I've played around w/ this recipe a couple times now--using less paprika, added black pepper, added honey, etc. It has potential but needs something and the paprika is just too overpowering.

Laurie's Tequila Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2004
Used for kabobs--meat was tough and flavor was almost non-existent. Sorry. Love tequila and really wanted this to be good.

I completely agree w/ "MisDaeMeanor"s review. It's okay. Nothing special. It needs something to add some pizzazz.

Excellent. Have made twice, both times served w/ egg noodles, have given out the recipe numerous times. My husband raves about it! The wine gives it a gourmet flavor.

San Antonio Chicken Roll Ups

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2005
This is good, I'll try it again. After reading the previous review I cooked them in the oven and served them w/ ranch dressing, next time I'll grill them. They're kind of hard to roll up. If they're not better on the grill I won't keep this one.

Wine Marinade

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2005
I used this on pork chops and neither the husband nor I liked it at all. Maybe it was my wine choice--I used red cooking wine as I didn't have any regular red wine. ??

Good! My husband raved about them. I mixed up the meat mixture in the morning and let it sit in the frig all day. I was expecting more flavor out of the burger itself.
