Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2014
Followed the recipe exactly except for the basil (I was out.) Oh, and I subbed the linguine pasta for bow tie pasta. Very, very good. Reminded me of a flavorful, spicier Alfredo. Will absolutely make this again! Thank you for the recipe :)

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2014
I made this last Sunday and my family loved it! Husband has been raving all week so I've decided to make this a weekly Sunday dinner. I'm actually making this again right now (it's Sunday :) ) I followed the directions almost exactly, except that I didn't have any parmesan cheese so I omitted it that time. I took another reviewer's advice and put a layer of sauce on the bottom of the pan. Oh, and I browned the ground beef with minced garlic, onions, and a pinch of crushed fennel seed. It was awesome. Served with a salad and homemade garlic toast.

I'm sorry, I just didn't care for this recipe. Maybe I didn't make it correctly. I might try it again, being more careful to make sure I did it right. Thank you for taking the time to submit, it's always fun to try new recipes!

Onion Pan-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2014
I loved this and the husband LOVED this! I followed the recipe exactly. It was perfect. I also sliced an onion and cooked them in the oil after the porkchops were done. I piled the onions on top of the chops when serving. So good and SO easy!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2014
I made this tonight for my family and everyone of them cleared their plate! That i a rarity in my house! I have a diabetic husband, a 13 year old, a four year old, and a two year old...so you can imagine that nobody can agree on what makes a good dinner. They all LOVED this. I doubled all the spices, and added a pound total of ground beef along with the pound of mild sausage, and drained the meat after cooking, and used a jar of marinara sauce instead of tomato paste. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. I think the fennel is important in this recipe, it gives it a great flavor. Thank you for a wonderful recipe!

Egg Pesto Breakfast Wrap

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2014
Delicious! I didn't have any bacon on hand, so I just made the recipe without bacon. It was very filling and delicious! Oddly enough, It reminded me of this ground turkey pesto wrap I had at a restaurant once. I had extra Feta Cheese and added about a tablespoon. Will make again. Awesome vegetarian option if you omit the bacon. Thanks for a great recipe!

Chicken Primavera Alfredo

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2014
I've made this twice now. It is so delicious! The first time, I made it exactly according to the recipe and it was still a 5 star recipe. Very rich and creamy. The second time I made it, I used about half of the cream cheese (roughly 4oz. instead of 8 oz.) and I liked it better this way because more of the parmesan cheese flavor came through. The sauce was still rich but not overly so. Definitely will continue to make this-so easy too!

Very very good! I used this to make a Yard Bird sandwich (Slows BBQ restaurant's recipe from Detroit) and it was delicious! The sauce made the sandwich...thank you for a great recipe!

Creamy Herbed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2014
Wow! This tastes almost just like my grandma's...but maybe a tiny bit better (from the basil?)shhh. Will definitely make this a staple on our family menu. I followed the recipe exactly, except I didn't have Montreal seasoning so I used McCormick's Steakhouse seasoning instead. I think its the same thing?? This is the ultimate comfort food. Ten stars! Thank you for the recipe Cassie!

Mennonite Cabbage Potato Kielbasa Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
I made this tonight for New Year's Day and my family absolutely loved it! It is delicious. I did have to make 2 changes to make sure the potatoes and cabbage were cooked all the way. I put the diced potatoes in the microwave for 6 minutes before I mixed it with the sausage/cabbage mix. After that, I followed the recipe to the letter. After the 45 minutes baking time, the cabbage was still raw. So I took another reviewer's advice and added chicken broth (2 cups) and covered the casserole dish with foil. Then I baked at 400 degrees for another 30 minutes (just to be sure.) I only had to make these changes to make sure every thing was cooked-the actual recipe is perfection. I loved the eggs on top!

Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2013
This was great! My family LOVED it and went back for seconds...and thirds! I did toast the chips in the oven for ten minutes before I added the toppings. I also used chicken breasts (shredded.) I took other reviewers advice and warmed everything up and just put everything on top of chips with no need to put the whole thing back in the oven. It was better than any other nacho recipe I've had. Thank you for a great recipe!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2013
WOW! This was absolutely the BEST dish I have found yet on allrecipes! The chicken, sauce, everything was amazing. I followed the recipe exactly, didn't change a thing, and I'm glad I did. Everyone that I had over for dinner couldn't praise it enough. I served this with mashed potatoes(made extra sauce to drizzle over them), green beans (made with ham), and french bread. I will definitely make this again and again. Thank you so much for an awesome recipe!

Spaghetti Pizza Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
I made a couple changes, but not many. This was wonderful! My 3 year old son-who is the world's PICKIEST eater- ate ALL OF HIS!!! I will definitely make this regularly. I doubled the sauce, used Angel hair pasta, Sweet Italian sausage instead of ground beef, added mozzarella cheese to the cheddar (used 4 cups total of cheese), added minced garlic, peppers, and onion to the cooking meat, and mixed the dry spices into egg mixture. I also layered it as another reviewer advised: sauce on bottom, then pasta, then egg mixture, then sauce, meat, sauce, cheeses, pepperoni. I found that the mini pepperoni slices were perfect with this. Definitely worth it to make again and again! Thank you for the awesome recipe Naomi!

Chicken and Rice Dinner

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2013
This was very bland and didn't have flavor. There was way too much water to the point where the chicken was just sitting in water. My kids all didn't want to eat it. I don't mean to be rude and criticize anyone's recipe, but this one just wasn't right for my family of three very picky eaters. Maybe if there was much less water and more spices...

Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2013
I've made this several times since I first saw this recipe! It is a family favorite now. I did make a few changes- I omitted the sugar, I used grape tomatoes instead of cherry(less watery), and I used minced garlic. Thank you for a recipe that I will likely use for years to come in our family!

Ground Turkey Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2013
My husband, 3 year old and I LOVED this! I replaced the 15 oz tomato sauce with a 25 oz jar of Private Selection(Kroger brand) Cilantro salsa and 1/2 of another jar of salsa. I used 3 pounds of ground turkey instead of 1 pound. I used onion and chives cream cheese instead of regular. I also added a can of Rotel tomatoes with chilies and a can of Kroger brand Italian Stewed Tomato Halves. I added about 15-20 fresh mushroom slices. I used about 3 cups of Mexican cheese instead of cheddar. It is making me hungry again just writing this! It was delicious!
