Chef John's Cream of Asparagus Soup

Wow, I don't think I've ever been the first person to write a review before. I followed the directions except kept adding more and more of all the seasonings to taste. I also added more of the Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and lemon rind than recipe called for. This was a very nice soup for spring!

North German Gruenkohl (Kale) and Sausage

I didn't have any onions or beef bouillon and didn't want to run to the store, so used a packet of beef onion soup mix. It turned out great. I also only used kielbasa, but other than that followed the recipe.

Kickin' Turkey Club Wrap

I went to two stores and couldn't find the jalapeno cream cheese so used the chive and onion. Rolled up like a jelly roll and sliced each in 1" pieces.

Working Mom's Hamentashen

I also doubled the recipe as another reviewer did with 2 mixes, 4 eggs, 1-1/2 cups flour and 4 T water. They turned out perfectly. My cake mixes were past the expiration date and I thought I would have to throw them out, but they worked wonderful in this.

I did something like this years ago, but forgot how. Thanks, now I have this filed in my AR recipe box and I won't forget again. I also like to be able to use whole grain bread crumbs.

I think the chopped smoked almonds is a fantastic idea that I will be adding to other salads as well! I also added some grated cheddar and a little red wine vinegar and sugar to the mayo.

Meat and Potato Casserole

I thinly sliced a flat iron steak and marinated in half the salad dressing overnight. After browning meat, layered with onions, green beans, and sliced carrots. Topped with cubed left over baked potatoes and poured some more salad dressing over. This was an easy and tastey meal, but next time I will make my own red wine dressing due to it being a little too oily.

Baked Buffalo Wings

Rich and Creamy Beef Stroganoff

Blueberry Turnovers

What a good idea! This deserves five stars for as fast and simple it is and tastes good besides! I used cinnamon and sugar on the berries, then sprinkled cinnamon and sugar on top. I also want to try spreading cream cheese and jam instead of the berries before rolling up sometime. Great with brunch.

Taco Salad III

Brought this to a potluck and it was gobbled up! Right before serving, I mixed in about half a bottle of the dressing and corn chips, microwaved pre-seasoned and browned ground beef to heat up and put on top of the salad. It was very good!

Brown Rice and Black Bean Casserole

I had some brown rice, a can of black beans, and left over chicken to use up. I also love swiss cheese and fresh mushroons, so I thought this would be a very good recipe to try. I was wrong, although it was edible, didn't care for the combination at all, and no one else in my family would even try it.
