Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2015
These were a great desert on my holiday desert tray. Made exactly as directions stated. Different sort of consistency as they aren't a true truffle, but certainly the consistency reminds you of one. Will make again and experiment with different flavors.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2015
Absolutely one of my favorite crock pot recipes. I make exactly as directions state except occasionally add more peppers as we love peppers. Try not to overcook, unfortunately I did this the first time and the meat completely feel apart and it was more like pepper steak mush but even still...it was delicious anyway! We serve over white rice. Thanks for the recipe!

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

These were good cookies for the holiday. We liked the mint flavor added by the icing. Made exactly as directions stated. Soft and delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

Acorn Candy Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2015
Cute little cookie for Thanksgiving. Didn't particularly get or like the flavors all together. Maybe if I had used peanut butter chips instead of butterscotch.

Chicken Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2015
We found this just ok. I feel that it was lacking flavor somewhere. I also didn't like the consistency of the liquid. I feel it should have been thicker. Maybe I just didn't get it quite right but we probably won't make again.

Chocolate Cakes with Liquid Centers

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2015
This was so yummy! I followed the suggestion of others and cooked a bit longer and I'm glad I did. I used glass custard cups and cooked for 10 min. This was just perfect. The cakes loosened nicely and didn't break at all. I used semi-sweet chocolate chips as that was all I had, but we prefer it to bittersweet anyway. Absolutely divine and very nice looking desert. Sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Will definitely make again!

Taco Bake II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2014
This recipe was pretty good. The only thing we didn't like was the sogginess of the chips that were throughout. I am glad I crunched up some and added on top once it was done. It definitely needed that crunch. I also did not drain the tomatoes with green chilis. We like the extra bite the juice adds to a dish. Will make again without chips on bottom and throughout, recommend if you like crunch like we do to add them at the end crunched up.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

We really liked the flavor of the coating for this chicken. The chicken came out tasty and the family ate it all up. Will definitely make again.

This was pretty good. I feel like it needed a bit more flavor, but overall it was good. Served with breaded chicken and broccoli.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2014
This was just ok for us. The sauce was not what I expected. It reminded me more of a hearty dish like chicken paprikash than what I think of in chicken pasta. The sauce was too thick for angel hair pasta, maybe with a thicker pasta I would have found it better. The taste was ok, but a bit too rich and salty for my taste.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2014
This tasted great! I only changed a few measurements based on other reviews to get closer to our taste, but kept all ingredients the same. The whole family truly enjoyed this and we will be making it again. Thanks for the great recipe!

Good dip. I thought it was a bit strong but my boyfriend loved it. Served with both tortilla chips and pita chips.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2014
We didn't feel it tasted like Salisbury steak, it was more like a meatloaf patty. The patty was moist and good. I cooked 4 hours on low. Will make this again.

Bananas Foster II

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2014
OH MY...This was fabulous! I didn't use this as dessert...instead I made it for breakfast and used it to top some wonderful cream cheese stuffed toast with the vanilla ice cream and some powdered sugar. It was beautiful and was gobbled up by the family in mere minutes. The recipe for the cream cheese stuffed toast was not from this site, but I encourage trying it this way. You will not be disappointed!!

Strawberry Angel Food Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
This dessert is so yummy and super easy! At the suggestion of another reviewer I added a teaspoon of vanilla to the cream cheese mixture to give it some added flavor. Also, I could not find strawberry glaze and didn't want to make my own, so I bought a can of strawberry pie filling and mixed that with the strawberries instead and it came out great. I will be making this for all of our summer parties this year.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: May 31, 2014
This was wonderful! Made exactly as written except that we cut it in half as it's just 2 adults and a 5 year old, and we doubled the tortillas as suggested to avoid sogginess. It was more than enough with left overs. Served with tomatoes and sour cream. Didn't find that this needs any adjustments to be a great dish. This will become a regular in the house. Thank you!

Guacamole

Reviewed: May 31, 2014
This was just OK for me. I must have done something wrong as I found it to be a bit bland. I tasted too much onion and other than that it just seemed a bit bland. That and I don't know if I didn't add enough lime but mine started turning dark after a day covered in the fridge. I gave 4 stars instead of less on the possibility some of the problems may have been "operator error" so to speak. Probably will try again with some of the others suggestions for adjustment.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: May 31, 2014
This was a good version of chicken and dumplings. I wish the consistency had a bit more of a "sauciness" to it. For me it was a little too thick and sticky but other than that the flavor was fine and it was a super easy version to enjoy.

Chef John's Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: May 31, 2014
A good deviled egg recipe. Lost one star for me as I like a bit of sweetness with the yolk mixture and the pepper would add that except it was just a bit more effort than I wanted to put into a deviled egg. Other than that I am sure most would find this variation quite tasty.
