Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
awesome fondant! extremly easy, and so much better than store bought! will never go back to that now. Even with old stale ones this worked for me. I just used some lard when kneading the fondant and it was no problem.

Pumpkin Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
I would give this recipe 4 and a half, only because of my adjustments. I thought the batter needed a bit more flavor, so, I added some all spice, and a bit of nutmeg. This was just by taste so if you feel like giving it more spice do a 1/4 tsp of the all spice and 1/8 of nutmeg. Great texture with the applesauce substitute advised by others.

Pierogi Casserole

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
super cool idea, I loved it! I just added more potatoes and more cheese on top , for sure cover with tin foil. Also when I mash potatoes I dont use all butter , I use some milk, and sour cream in replacement for half the butter, saurkraut in the mixture is awsome as well!

Baklava

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
excellent and easier then I thought it would be, definitely needed more sauce, so i made an extra half quantity, as a personal preference I like less nuts. be careful not to put too much butter on the layers to avoid soggyness. I like baklava not so sickly sweet so I substituted a quarter of the honey quantity for maple syrup and white sugar it worked well!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
very nice recipe, good way for me to use up pumpkin from pumpkin pie baking. I just added a bit more cinnamon and nutmeg, and a little less pumpkin to pancake batter ratio to keep the texture more pancake like, very good!

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
pretty good just needs more flavor, however I did substitute milk and cornstarch forcream which cuts fat as well as flavor, I would just add more spice when im making next time, and go for a spicy sausage

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
very simple recipe to make tasty chewy cookies that taste like vanilla cake (or any other mix that you chose to use) I will try using other flavors of mixes. I substituted butter for oil for half the batch and I liked the texture that came out of them better then with oil . I used a little more then called for

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
DEFINITELY add 1/4 c. more milk it makes this cake absolutely perfect. Moist, and dense makes it the best white cake recipe ive tried, great for a wedding cake. I will be using this witht he milk adjustment as my usual white cake recipe from now on. If you are looking for light and airy this is not the cake for you, but I love the texture of it! I baked for full time

Disappearing Marshmallow Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
This rating is only based on my personal opinion, everyone else that ate these loved them. For me, they werent cooking properly , crispy on the outside but not enough on the inside and were very hard to get out of the pan even after cooling for a few hours. They are very sweet, I would try making again but with only butterscotch chips or choco or peanut butter. A plus about them, is that they taste really good even after being left out for a day.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
My rating is for the original recipe which I made the first time. The second time, I added some vanilla (tsp approx) and DEFINITELY CUT the nutmeg, in half. What I really liked about my tweaked version was making them in actual muffin pans as opposed to mini muffin pans. I dont know why but they were SOOO MUCH BETTER I just liked the texture and felt like I was eating an actual donut =P

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
Yes this lasagna was very delicious, but it is after all lasagna, therefore very hard to make not delicious. A little salty for my taste but thats just me, and I find choosing a bit healthier options like veggie ground or extra lean ground beef, low fat cheese, do not make a difference in the finishing taste at all! Like I said, very hard to put ingredients together for a lasagna and have them not be good

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: May 9, 2004
This was a very good sauce, I served it with chicken and fettuccini noodles, definetely do not use crumbled parmesan, it makes it too gridy stick with fresh shredded parmesan also too much garlic. But very good

Cheesy Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: May 9, 2004
I would give them a four, they tasted more like biscuits but very good, I tried them without cheese also and they were delicious, I had them with jam. Just add more cheese if you want them as cheese pretzels I didnt find them cheesy enough
