I'm very energetic and outgoing!
I actually don't like to cook at all, I'd rather clean.
When I do cook, grill or bake, I prefer my choices to be very healthy, using alternative ingredients rather than using the typical high calorie or fatty ingredients. I'm a workout junkie (I push my body 7 days a week with strenuous workouts), so when I do prepare food I always analyze what goes in my body and how it affects my health and well being.
Don't get me wrong, I still love my sweets, but I choose recipes that use healthier ingredients, packed with antioxidants, nuts and of course...chocolate!
My favorite things to cook
I love to grill the most!
Grilled veggies, kabobs, all kinds of lean meat, healthy whole wheat grilled quesadillas.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I really don't have any since my family always cooked with unhealthy ingredients. I don't follow their traditions at all. Making a few holiday cookies is probably the most I will do.
My cooking triumphs
I love experimenting and throwing all sorts of alternative ingredients in my dishes to make it healthier. For example, I'll use avocado or red grapes instead of salad dressing, which is very high in fat/calories.
I'll use a combination of spices/lemon juice, etc... to complete the flavor rather than using some fatty ingredient that will lead to clogged arteries or congestive heart failure.
My cooking tragedies
If a recipe calls for using a double boiler, don't cheat and try to nuke it in the microwave. It'll never work!!
