Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
Best Cinnamon rolls I've mave by far. A few tweaks to the original... added 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1/8 tsp almond extract to dough. Used KitchenAid to mix dough and it took about 1 cup more, but I added it slowly. It never pulled away from the bowl - was still sticky but I put it on a well floured surface and kneaded 1 min or so and it turned out beautifully. I also let rise 2 hours and they were light and airy! Served at a party with great reviews and people took all the leftovers home.

Grest base recipe first time I made it. Second time I added 1/2 tsp real vanilla extract, 1/8 tsp. almond extract and 1/4 tsp freshly grated cinnamon. Freakin' awesome!!! Made it 4 days in a row due to requests when family was in town.

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
Made exactaly as is except used frozen (I picked them fresh this past summer) blueberries. Really good and not too many ingriedents. I did have to keep it in the fridge because the berries oozed out when cut warm. Maybe next time I'll sprinkle the cornstarch on the crust layer, before I add the blueberries. Will make again! :)

Velveeta® Cheesy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I feel that is too unhealthy, but my husband, sister and brother request it all the time. I think it's more of a comfort food or a side dish, not a main-course

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I made it as-is and loved it. Hubby did not. We figured out it was the ricotta cheese, so I halved the amount and replaced it with mozzerella. Plus I have to puree the tomatoes so there are no chunks, but he loved it the second time!

Crispy Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
Ok, I don't even like rhubarb, but I had to say this is one of the best rhubarb recipes I've ever had. It was the first thing to go when we had a pig-out day at work!

Yummy! The only addition I made was 1 small can of sliced black olives. I served with home-made crusty bread.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
Absolutely perfect! I was a little concerned about the pre-seasoning; that it wouldn't have enough flavor, but everything turned out perfect in the end. I did simmer the sauce on low the entire time the ribs were cooking and it thickened up quite nicely. No changes were made at all. Good Job!

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2006
This is totally what I wanted! When it is done cooking, it looks hotter than it actually is, so don't be intimidated! We ate it with Scoops chips and it was GONE in less than 10 minutes. I have made it with fat-free cream cheese and cheddar-jack cheese (that's all I had) and halved the recipe, and it was good too! What a easy winner!!!
