Lemon Lush

Reviewed: May 11, 2014
I LOVE this recipe! It's so easy and delicious, and it easily serves 12. As other reviewers suggested I did add 1/4 c. sugar to the crust, and about 1 T. lemon juice and a little lemon zest to each of the cream cheese and the pudding layers, but it would probably be just as good without any extras. Thank you Mrs. Kellyz for this awesome recipe.

World's Best Potato Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2014
Best potato salad ever! I followed the recipe except for using 3 chopped green onions in place of the one small onion called for in the recipe. This was great. I will make it my go to recipe for potato salad. Kaye Lynn, thank you for submitting.

Mad Hatter Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2014
I just made this salad exactly as written. It is really yummy! This makes a really large salad so be sure to use a big bowl. It would be perfect to take to a party or to a church gathering. Thank you Busy Mom for contributing this awesome recipe.

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
Very good but next time I will add more vegetables, spices, and cornstarch as recommended by other reviewers. I will also use red potatoes instead of russet because my russet potatoes got way too mushy. I think some baby corn ears would also be a nice addition.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
I used ten medium granny smith apples and following another reviewer's recommendations I reduced the water to 1/4 cup and cut cold butter into the topping rather than melt it. The result was delicious, but next time I will use 9 apples and follow the recipe with regard to the water and the butter. The topping turned out a little too dry for me. I will definitely make this recipe again, but will make it exactly as written.

Pretty Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
This was ok, but not worth making again. The chicken was tender, but my family did not care for the taste.

Steak Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
This was really good. I followed the suggestions of others who omitted the cornstarch and added two rounded tablespoons of flour. This worked well and the sauce was the right consistency for us. I used veggies from a bag of frozen stir fry veggies and added some fresh peppers and celery. I think that next time I will double the ginger. Love it!

Celery Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
Wow! This is really good. Made it with raisins because I was out of dried cranberries. It was excellent, but I think it would be even better with the cranberries. A veggie version of a waldorf salad.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
We thought this was just OK. The sweet relish seemed wrong. I might try it again with dill relish, or maybe just find another recipe.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
This was very good and smelled incredible while it was baking. The chicken was super tender, but the skin turned to leather. Next time I will try it covered for the last hour and see if that helps.

Cottage Cheese Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
I made these with whole wheat instead of white flour and added a few blueberries to each pancake after pouring the batter onto the griddle. Very easy to make with a custardy, crepe like texture.

Guiltless Creamy Pineapple Salad

I followed another reviewer's lead to cut fat and sugar. I used nonfat whipped topping, low fat cottage cheese and sugar free lemon jello. Delicious, guilt free, and it couldn't be easier! DH loves it too. I will be making this often.

Spiced Yogurt Pound Cake

A very nice moist cake. I used 1-1/2 c. white sugar and 1/2 c. splenda. Also used 1/2 c. oil and 1/2 c. applesauce. I baked it in a bundt pan for 45 min. at 350. I will make this again.

Poppy Seed Salad Dressing

DH likes this. The only change I made was to substitute Splenda instead of sugar. This dressing is much better than anything you can buy in the store.
